I was away from COH for about a year due to work (now retired and back on permanently). I had started a personal SG base to hold salvage and enhancements that other alts could use to save inf. When I entered the base, the enhancements are all there, but the salvage rack is empty. The logs shows some removals by my alts, but mostly putting into it. There is no log of a wipe. Is there a clean out if offline for so long?

This morning I just typed Coh homecoming into the browser's URL line (right after I deleted all old files). That brought me to the official site. Clicked on "Installation Guide". When I clicked on the provided installation link, it directed me to install it at "C: games/Homecoming (new folders). Did exactly that and it started downloading "Homecoming" (sounds pretty simple so far -- wish I had seen this upfront instead of following the instructions of an old YouTube video). It worked!

Gotcha! Wll it's been a couple weeks and I still can't "just log on". I was able to get a mm from 16 to 32 on Friday, but getting back in is a chore.

I installed it in Program files (x86)/games/COH So I should just put a folder directly on the C drive?

Can't find a working download site anywhere

Manifest download error for http://patch.savecoh.com/manifest.xml An exception occurred during a WebClient request. I've downloaded and installed it twice and get the same error message. If I run the program in admin, it runs, but the game has no sound.

If I try run the game from the icon as it is on the desktop, it gives me an error. If I run it as admin it runs. Problem is there is no sound in the game. In order to play I have to use the game's troubleshooter every time.

Just downloaded and installed game. Running in Win 7 compatibility (admin). No sound in any server, any character. Audio at 100% in options. Sound works in other games, YouTube, etc.. Tried deleting game and reinstalled. No change.

Have installed and already in game. Logged out and now want to come back in. How do I get to the client again?

My Storm Defender has Fire Blast. Makes for a nice storm with freezing and fire rain. I tried leaving hurricane off today and the team was wiped 3 times quickly. Now the others were just mm's (one at level 5). So they was nothing to tank. So I turned Hurricane back on and we finished that and other missions.

Well even after the color change and tweaking, Hurricane is still awful (hate playing the powerset now). They need to change to an option that says "Minimal FX" like some other powersets offer.

When I first made a Storm Defender and got Steamy Mist, other players told me that they couldn't see (to turn it off). But when I got hurricane the #$@& really hit the fan. Even I couldn't see where I was going. It made the game impossible to play. When building a mission team, players with a random character selection would join up and if it's a storm character, they are instantly kicked from the team if they are using hurricane. To fix this problem I went to the trainer and looked to see if I could change the color of the powers to a more translucent hue. Took me awhile, but I think I found it. On the color selection, make all Storm powers the same on both colors (all the way to the right, 5th one down (a very light yellow). It can't be white. You still get all of the benefits without the headaches.

Is the Freedom server and others readily available from the Homecoming server (like a dropdown menu)?

Watched a video on YouTube today about a Water/Phycho Kinetic Dominator, but I don't see the powersets in the game. Is this new (upcoming)?

First off, the only recipes I get are at or below my level (makes sense in a way). However I want to make enhancements for my level to progress. Not for where I was before. Second, for sets like Luck of the Gambler, what level is that? Does a high level character use low level sets? Hate to think that I have to equip a set multiple times to stay current with my level, but is that how this works?

Well I do need both as a Sentient to get the procs, right?

My primary is fire. I didn’t train the tier one power because it did minor damage. Read that the offensive opportunity is activated with the minor damage power that I skipped (so I never see the offensive opportunity). Can’t I switch it to another power or do I have to waste a power on the tier one to activate it?

Those points are good to know. Thanks. when I first looked at Sentinels on the creation page, it showed ranged damage at 7, with blasters at 10 and defenders at 6. If Sentinels has a 150% higher damage than defenders., than the damage number should have read 10 at least. Just curious, what did Scalar rate blasters at? Since some of the blaster secondaries buff the damage output, many players like the idea of being a glass cannon. When Sentinels were designed, they should have had all of the damage of a blaster (without the buffs) and the same defensive secondary to keep it balanced. The Sentinel idea has been a dream of mine for a very long time. Cox has the best melee characters I have seen on any mmo, but I’d like to play ranged without giving up the defense. Much like an archer on Asherons Call.

I can understand why Defenders have a weak blast because it is a secondary powerset, but why is a Sentinel's primary powerset so weak and only marginally better than a defender?
