  1. Hi all
Back in original CoH I played a Archery/Energy blaster.
After my return here I decided to try to remake her, but with /TA instead.

My understanding and optimisation of Crafted Sets is far from where i would like it, so I would love some inputs on this idea for my final build.
Hope some of you will give input about what i did wrong and maybe even why I did it wrong, with the premises that
    A. I do NOT engage in PVP at all.
    B. Hover stays no matter what.

    Any input is appreciated 🙂

  2. Help save whats left of my insanity.
I seem to recal there was a badge associated with it back in original CoH, while there is not on Homecomming.
I voiced it in chat yesterday and some people agreed to remebering it others where adamant that there never had been such a badge.

I do not recal much details about the percieved badge, but what i think I remeber was that it was sort of an explorationstyle one and yuo got it by flying or Teleporting on top of the Blimp.

So does anyone have concrete existence of its former existance?

Keep in mind Controllers tend to be a low damage AT so it may feel weaker than other ATs, your role is more of a force multiplier.

Damn, that hit teh nail on the head on why I likely never tried them. I mostly play solo. Having a dedicated team charachter is not something I´ll love playing.

Thank you for taking time to write the reply out to me anyway 🙂

  5. Some favourites.

    *Cthulhu Wars:

Areacontrol, power management, diplomacy and fighting with The Great Old Ones and their servants for the dominance of earth.

    *Arkham Horror The Card Game:

Co-op deck building with investigators trying to prevent the awakening of Great Old Ones by thwarting cultists and monsters in campaigns set in the 1920ies.

    *King of Tokyo:

Giant monsters fight for dominance of Tokyo. Great filler game or with kids.

    *Junta:

Play as the leading Junta of a banana republic. Backstab your way to have most money in your Swiss Bank account when the game is over. If backstabbing and assassination attempt fails you, make a coup and let tanks roll in the streets.

If you would like a metric ton of holds, I'd go with Grav/Time controller.

Without adding in chance for hold IO procs or Singularity, you'd have 2 ST holds, an AoE hold, and an AoE slow with a chance for hold.

You can easily toss in 4 more chance for holds in there, then the Singularity for more CC madness.

With some favor from the RNG diety, you can hold AVs, practically on your own.

Would it be viable for mostly solo play with some PUG thrown in?

  7. Yesterday evening TWANG had a all Archery Synapse run.
Just 4 of us turned up and it was my first run with TWANG.

3 Blasters and 1 Defender taking on The Clockwork King and it was epic fun.

I talked with one of the other players afterwards and we agreed taht part of the fun was that being a smaller team, each individual effort felt like it meant more, had a bigger impact and was more heroic.
Not having Tankers/Brutes/Scrappers tanking and keeping aggro was also a lot of fun.

Cant wait till next time I´ll be able to go out in team with the TWANGERS again

  8. Yesterday was bad.
It starte out allright. No scratch that, it started out great.
I assisted in bringing down a Skull operated drug operation. It was huge, scary and I didnt feel entirely safe. Some close calls and rookie mistake where made, but the fear of a glitching medic evac kept me on my toes and sharp.
If the day ended there everything would have been god.

    But...

Halloween season has triggered something and on my way home zombies where all of sudden running wild in the streets.
Thats jusked sick and fucked up.
Halloween should be happy kids and candy, not horror style maddness in the streets.
Well I couldnt have that spoil the season so I started unleashing arrows at them and that did the trick well enough.
Untill one of them vomited at me. It shot out like a big glop of aimed goo and I got it in my hair.

Thats when I lost it. Thats what broke me.

Not Skulls shooting at me, swinging hatches or throwing dark magic agaisnt my defenses. Not having a building nearly burn down around me. Not claws or teeth from zombies.
But vomit in the hair. That did me in.
The memories, still fresh, of me hauling a near passed out drunk dad home from a bar. Undressing him and putting him to bed and then as I over to pick up his clothes, he turned over in the bed and threw up down my back and in my hair.

So I ran, found a quiet corner in a park and broke down sobbing behind a tree. Then I went home, stayed in the shower for most of an hour and wrote this entry.

Tomorrow I wont run... Or if I do, I at least wont cry afterwards.
