And since this topic has been nothing but awesome so fat as to answering question, I have this strange issue you guys might know about: I use LEFT/RIGHT clock a lot to walk forward but whenever I used it for more than 2-3 seconds, the character switches to auto-walk. Is that normal?

Except a limited amount of time in a week, What was wrong with Dark/Dark? Too much end-cost? Also, keep in mind that I know very little about top-tier mechanics. I only ever got ONE character to 50 and most of the "new" contents didn't even exist by then. I know that a lot of people plan ahead on super awesome and expensive builds. I just want to have fun 🙂

Funny you say that. I looked at the class and the first thing I immediately wanted was a Dark/Dark sentinel.

For my first few characters (Alting is life), I am considering these guys: Blasters: Energy/Atom (science) Water/Elec (Mutant) Beam Rifle/Energy (Tech) Dark/Time (Energy) Scrappers: Dual blade/Willpower (Natural) (Only if the blades can be customized) Dark Melee/Rad Armor (Magic) Electric Melee/Energy Aura (Tech) Controller: Electric/Kinetics (Science or Tech) Has Gravity control damage ever been fixed? I remember it used to suck Tanker: Bio Armor/Titan Weapons (Muant) Dark Armor/Psi Melee (Magic) Defender: So many cool options... Elec, Cold, FF, Nature with any of the blasts... Thoughts, anyone?

This is an interesting topic. I'm browsing the huge list of powersets now and I'm trying to plan ahead, wondering if there was really bad choices with very little synergy. I used to play an Elec/Ice blaster back in the day, she was insane fun but people kept telling me it was a terrible combo. Looking at the stats, there's probably a reason why 1/4 of the server plays a Spine/FireAura brute but, are there REALY bad combos I should stay clear of?

Gosh I really need to jump back into it to understand some of this. I once again really want to emphasize on how much I appreciate everyone's willingness to answer and help! I hope we can run a mission or ten together in the weeks to come! This. This goes straight to my heart.

I guess I wasn't around anymore when the live servers stopped, probably on another MMO back then. Man the memory juice is flowing... This game is even better than I remembered it. Now I need to settle on 5-6 characters to start with.

Am I dreaming or is the WHOLE fitness pool gained free, by default now? How exactly am I expected to love you more without sounding creepy?

@MTeagueif you check my last post, you'll see I'm like you. I like to take my time. Lots and lots of time.

While I completely understand what you mean, my question was mainly: will I be the only person having fun in Faultline or Boomtown because everyone wants on in the Rikti raids so they level to 50 as fast as humanely possible? I remember Mission Architect completely breaking the game back then. That and you ended up with a legion of people with no idea how to play their Archetype.

In a superhero context, I don't really RP. Besides, once powers start being clicked, this game becomes way too fast paced to start describing everything. I guess I'll first roll on Excelsior! How's the levelling curve? Do people actually enjoy the game or it is still a Mission Architect fest to get from 1 to 50 in three hours? To put you in context: I played CoH and then CoV for many, many months and I only ever got ONE character to 50.

Hey I'm gonna hijack my own thread and go with another question: back in the day, it was possible to export costume files and I proably still have those somewhere on my PC (I guess I felt a place like thiswould appear one day). Are those still usable in the current state of things? If not, no biggie, but it would be nice to have some good costume nostalgia for me.

I can't wait, seriously. So many new powersets to try, so much stuff to discover and re-discover! The work day can't go away fast enough! I see that from the stats, Fire/Kins are still a flavor of the month that doesn't stop. A shame with so many fun powersets to try!

Hello beautiful people! I have just installed this last night, can't wait to play, I really liked CoH and for years I was so bummed out that in a sea of less-than-awesome MMOs, this fantastic game had to be one to die out. Then I heard of this place and now I am PSYCHED. First of all: HOLY MOLLY the GUI and presentation is NICE! I can already tell that this place will be home! So yesterday the first thing that stopped me was that there were 5 possible server/shards. Is there a preffered to roll on for new players? I don't want to solo my way to 50, I want an active community, I want to be able to group with people and have fun. So please, tell me about the servers and what makes each of them special. See you out there!!
