I find it's practice and watching/reading what others do. I mimic until I find my own style, kind of just like how most people learn any kind of skill. I will definitely find a few circumstances to have roleplay opportunities in a very chill, non-high stress environment for you. Even I am still intimidated by open group roleplay and pocket D/bars in the general. I'm even intimidated to go into other people's bases, even if there are 'open' for roleplay to everyone. Everyone does things at their own speed; there's no reason to rush into things. Just take the steps you feel comfortable with. Roleplayers in general (so far), I have found to kind, patient and gracious. I bet you'll find the same if you're interested in going further. And you don't suck at it.

The intent is to roleplay the sale of a base, which I do. The cost of the base is minimal and not exploitative. The interactions are roleplay based and follow the code of conduct to the best of my understanding.There are strict guidelines for no off-coh transactions. My goal here isn't the influence, I just really want to meet people outside of the bar scene and Pocket D. Unfortunately, I can't comment on your situation and how it is different.
