I think the given line on that was that those dresses are pinned to the legs and don't have physics. They work for an NPC because you can strictly control the animations they use. For players, that dress turns into an eldritch horrorshow of stretched textures and a black, unknowable void between the legs when you get in any way acrobatic.

Yeah, I remember something to that effect having been said. Such a bummer...I have wanted long, historical costumes since time travel came to the City but it seems it is not to be.

Alternate bodies / composite.   Will be quirky no doubt.  But having alternate lower bodies (centaurs, sphinx, even the hover platform leg thing the Freak has in redside Doc Buzzsaws new arc…).

I always wanted to have the long dresses of the Carnie Illusionst types. (You could do the floaty bit with hover, obviously) but just give me that long dress type! Please?!

  3. It sounds like the KB is your issue with it? If so, you'll have to decide if you're willing to sacrifice a slot for a KBtoKD in it.

It takes some finessing to set it down in a good spot to mitigate the KB, otherwise. (Like any other KB power, I'm sure you're aware of).

Soloing it's not too much of an issue because you have the time to set your rotation to get the results you want out of it.

(And not waste a perfectly good nuke)

I find that using it on teams, I'm better off without the KB.

Provided your team is at a level where they can handle consecutive mob aggro, setting it to drop on the next mob in your LoS can give it the time it needs to drop and actually hit something. Depending on the room, there shouldn't be much left to aggro anyhoo.

  4. When I'm playing Feldsparrer (Seismic/Earth/Flame) this is usually how it goes:

Fracture (for the -Def &Stun)->Meteor->Bonfire (KD) or Salt Crystals->Spring Attack (from Leaping) into melee range to finish off w/e is left with another Upthrust and/or empowered Rock Shards.

So really it's a lot of KD for soft control and keeping them them in the area of impact. 1 before you drop the Meteor and then 1 to keep them there on it's way down + AoE that usually goes off at the same time it impacts. It works pretty well, for me anyhoo.

I might actually make her my main, I enjoy it that much. Perhaps there won't be a "w/e is left" at some point.

  5. I wish I had an answer for you but alas...

The highest I've gone is to T3 Incarnate. Honestly, when it came out on live, that was the first time I let my sub lapse.

I can't get into the end- game player mindset. Not in any game I've played. It all feels too hamster-on-the-wheel for me.

It's always just seemed like something tacked on to keep people playing (paying). That may not be the case here, now, but I still find it boring.

I don't have a steady group of players to run with coming back so late in the game so that may contribute to my lack of interest.

Creating something new is always more appealing to me as well.

  6. Playing Earth/Earth and I'm enjoying it immensely. To me, it feels like what I always wanted an Earth 'troller to play like.

I'm not the best at making builds so (currently at level 43) I feel a bit squishy. I do not play this one as a hover-blaster, but I wouldn't say I play as a blapper either.

So far, I haven't slotted out the KB on the nuke. I'm playing around with the positioning of the target area for KB mitigation as much as possible to see if I can get away with leaving it.

(It is freakin' hilarious how far those suckers fly when it hits though.) One thing I like to do is to hit them with Fracture first. Def Debuff + Stun, drop Meteor, then hit them with Upthrust while it's on the way down. There's not much left after it hits, and the ones that do survive get a good bit of damage so meh.

(Thank you lovely tank with fold space. You know how to handle all situations without qq . /e clap )

I will be happy for the patch that fixes the exemp issue (During TF's etc. will not build spendable Seismic Pressure)

That's where I'm at so far. Try it out!

  7. I was actually thinking about this while getting exploration badges a couple days ago. It does seem a shame that that there are so many unused zones now.

It might get pretty annoying if the whole zone scaled though (badging, hunts, zone RP...)

Maybe some contacts in-zone that give out scaling missions would be the better route if anything were to be done.

  8. Might as well call my playstyle ADD.

On live, I got accustomed to leveling up by running at-level Task Forces with radio missions in between (if the xp was needed to move on to the next).

Then we would run every TF not needed for TF COmmander, also.

I try to do that here but I don't have an SG (other than my own) so I don't have reliable options to do that.

Now I usually end up joining whatever radio/TF teams are out there at the time and filling in the gaps solo later on.

I'll do some flashbacks once in a while, and Exploration badging for the transporter.

This is assuming I don't get bored/lose interest in that character and start another one.

Which I do, often. I guess I just miss the folks I used to run with because I never got bored then. *sad face*

I get why they took out the base beacons for the echo zones, and never had one for Cimerora. That being said they should add a special base item, a time machine or whatever, that allows you to attach just those special time displaced zones.

It should also allow you to port to Ouroboros.

There's an awful lot of unused payphones around these days.

EVen if I am not team leader and I see some team member doing this stuff like going on their own to solo groups of mobs , split away from the team, I tell them straight up that whatever they think they can do solo, they will do it faster if they do it with the team.  Taking on a mob will be faster with the team, not solo.
It's also screaming for the question -- why did you join the team?

Also, if the game is too easy for you, come talk to me:  I got stuff in game that if I put you through it, it will  adjust your attitude a bit.

Honestly, I don't really care what people do in a TF setting. I understand that a lot of folks are going to be doing them for the merits.

Most of the time, I've teamed with some really fun people for those.

I'm not the one forming teams (you wouldn't want me to with how slow my net and computer are, trust me) so I just go with the flow in that regard.

I'm just not overly fond of joining leveling teams where one person is so OP that the rest of us may as well be door sitting in a farm.

If that's what I wanted to do, that's where I'd be.

I liked the company of teammates and friends I made back on live. Not one person that was in my SG or global list would have ever treated another player like s**t

because they didn't have all the shiny toys. We just had fun together.

I don't want it to seem like I think everyone is assho because that's not what I'm saying.

  11. Just wanted to send some love out to this server.

I finally jumped in on my first TinPex ever and ya'll made it a really fun experience.

    Thanks for being awesome!

    (Hollenblitz sends his regards!)
