  6. You're probably right. But I've got half a mind to make a Master-Mind to wander around after you now. Or maybe a Missy-Mind... (Slightly related note: who else is happy to see all the Who-lumni taking over the world? Michelle on Sabrina, Doom Patrol and The Flight Attendant, Smith edging into movies - and finally nailing something decent with Last Night in Soho, Darvill holding together Legends for three seasons and having a big run in London theatre, Tennant enjoying the hell out of everything from Good Omens to DuckTales, and then of course there's the mighty 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Karen Gillan🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿...)
  7. Given Boba's trying to build a (criminal) society based on respect and co-operation rather than brutality, that scans. According to IMDb: It looks very much like a Favreau & Filoni show again, plus one of my favourite filmmakers - Robert "El Mariachi" Rodriguez - added to the topline team. Kath Kennedy and Karen Gilchrist overseeing from LucasFilm. Filoni's also written at least one episode, as has Favreau, Rodriguez and Bryce Dallas Howard, which they will also direct. Suspect the Mandalorian's chocolate box of writers and directors worked well last time, not just for giving lots of different creative perspectives, but also for scheduling and budgets. Sorry Kiwi lunatic fans, Waititi isn't on the early list and is very busy with Love And Thunder and 800 other things. Hope he manage to squeeze one in. Official producer producer is listed as John Bartnicki, who's been one of Favreau's regulars since Chef. (By the way, do watch Chef. Great little movie. Not while you're hungry, mind.)

  11. I liked Homecoming for that reason - not to mention the fact that they gave Adrian Toombs to Michael Keaton. I harp on about this a lot, but Marvel aren't good at villains. They need to be as well fleshed out as the heroes, perhaps moreso, and when they're well written they're an awful lot of fun to play for actors. (Just ask Jason Isaacs). Toombs felt like a real character - like the slightly-dodgy-but-salt-of-the-earth guys I've known and got drunk with in Red Hook, Paterson and Hoboken. He was a hell of a lot less scary in the bird armour than just staring across the kitchen table with a knife in his hand, or turning round for The Talk. Hell, I'd cheerfully take on Thanos instead. (Also liked that he absolutely wasn't a "pro" villain who had little to no idea what he was doing. "...I thought this was the gravity gun...?")

  16. I dunno, having had to escape from the intestines of 300 foot wide Venus Flytrap weighs on a man's mind a bit. Not to mention having several million identical clones of yourself running around the galaxy, and occasionally having to shoot yourself in the fac... [blink] ...unless...

  20. First teaser is out and they're not giving much away: though it seems being a respectable criminal on Tattoine probably isn't the easy life the big slug made it look like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOJ1cw6mohw Thoughts? Mine in the spoiler tag:
  21. Given I don't have a lot of spare time to game at any given stretch, playing a lot of casual mobile games that I can pick up or drop more or less at whim, don't keep their paw out for IAPs, and which won't whinge at me if I don't poke them every couple of hours. (That combination is remarkably hard to find.) Currently: the Stranger Things puzzle quest game. Yeah, basic gem matching stuff, but oh so pretty, with lovely renditions of every character (even the minor ones) and soundtracks that simultaneously match the show and take the mickey out of Bejeweled.
