  1. I am also a disciple of Citybinder/Speed On Demand from way back! Nothing has worked as well for me since....
I initially had trouble too, and the fix was making sure the reset bind was looking in the right folder. For me it is  C:\COH (you may have installed them elsewhere.)
So... when you first load into Atlas with a new character put /bindloadfile c:\coh\profile\reset.txt in the chat box and hit enter.
if they get stuck, hit left control+R.
I have mine set up to turn sprint on and off whenever I move or stop as well. The only drawback there, is that many builds recommend the stealth IOs in sprint, so I usually find another spot like hover or mystic flight.
Good luck, and if you need Citybinder, the original SOD or just my files and where to put them let me know... It does work, but I had to look at the .txt files and make sure I dropped them in the correct directory.

  2. Try this:

    /bind KEY "SuppressCloseFX 1$$SuppressCloseFXdist 300"

This will turn off your auras and armor's visual effects for you, in your view only, unless you scroll 300 feet out. Others will still see them.

Change the number as you desire to make the effect re-appear. 50-100 is a good middle ground.

/bind KEY "SuppressCloseFX 0" will turn all the visual fireworks back on. Pick two keys you like.

Need an idea gor a male Seismic/storm/dark corr. Mutant origin. Cant think of anything. Just need some inspiration really

    The Big Bang?
The Greek mythological world creation story has Chaos giving birth to Night, who bears Sleep, Death and Darkness...

For Ovid,  Chaos was an unformed mass, where all the elements were jumbled up together in a "shapeless heap".

"Ante mare et terras et quod tegit omnia caelum

unus erat toto naturae vultus in orbe,

quem dixere chaos: rudis indigestaque moles

nec quicquam nisi pondus iners congestaque eodem

non bene iunctarum discordia semina rerum.

Before the ocean and the earth appeared— before the skies had overspread them all—

the face of Nature in a vast expanse was naught but Chaos uniformly waste.

    It was a rude and undeveloped mass, that nothing made except a ponderous weight;

and all discordant elements confused, were there congested in a shapeless heap."

Sounds like Seismic Storm Darkness to me!

  4. I don't have any answers for you, but I like how you have things slotted now.

I am replying just to let you know that reading this really brought me back to the joy and wonder of playing this game when it was first released, before every build needed 5 Purple Codpieces of the Surly Capybara.  I miss the simplicity and level playing field of those first few years.

I KNOW I can still play that way, I am aware and appreciate the flexibility of our game for every type of player, I have enjoyed how it has changed and matured, no complaints.

I just want to say thank you, because your post made me remember the awe and curiosity of discovering Paragon City and each  new zone as I leveled up and faced new challenges and met new contacts.

    This is a wonderful game.

Due to the ETREME influence of Ouro on the timelines and the beautiful way (rare praise and much deserved) the storytelling in CoH/V continually use going back and forth through time NOTHING is before ANYTHING!!!!

is there any way to change the color of the inside of the Black Knight belt's cloth?

I believe if you select "Colors linked", flip until the inside is what you want ...then unlink and color the back... it works. It is a pain, but it can be done.

EDIT: Nevermind.. @Shocktacular beat me to it!

Someone once gave me a macro command string that would 'port me over to whichever foe I have targeted, but for some reason I couldn't get it to work.

These should work for you, and it is amazing.
Here are  a few binds and macros that allow you to teleport directly to a targeted enemy without having to mess with a targeting reticle.
Pick different keys and key combinations that work best for you.

/bind BUTTON5 "powexec_name Savage Leap$$powexec_location target_custom_near enemy alive Savage Leap"  ( Great in a crowd, attacks living enemies until they are gone.)
    /bind lshift+lbutton "powexec_location target Combat Teleport"
    /macro_image "E_Icon_Obliteration" "BAMF" "powexec_location target Combat Teleport"
/macro BAMF "powexec_location target Combat Teleport"
/macro RAWR "powexec_location target Savage Leap"  (Thank you @InvaderStych)
    /bind z "powexec_location target Burst of Speed"
/bind key "powexec_location target Lighting Rod"

  8. This is my next project.

If anybody has any advice for the first 20 levels or so... i.e. what to pick as you level as opposed to a finished IO masterpiece, I would love it!

The character will be an antique brass wind up toy soldier, being guided/possessed by the dreams of a 6 year old German boy in a coma in a hospital.

the guy whose laptop drive crashed and lost his doctoral thesis

Not quite that bad, but I am the original poster, and the drive had a word.doc  journal I had kept for over 20 years and letters from the woman who became my wife 11 years ago.

It was a big loss. I got a SATA to USB cable, but so far no luck. Now I have a new intel I9, 4 TB and a Nvidia 3080 TI so the tears are hi res at least.
