  1. Followup 2 So I ended up grabbing the Mac too lol. I told him I didn't want it anymore and he dropped the price to 50 and I bought it. They are selling for about 200 bucks on eBay so worst case I would just sell it there. I downloaded island rum and set everything up and it can run the game on medium settings smooth as butter. Ran a DFB with no problems at all. My daughter likes the Mac better so I guess I wasted a little money on the other PC. With all said and done I got 2 computers for 20 dollars more then I was expecting to get 1 for. Not bad I guess...
  2. That was the first thing I did. Wiped the system completely and started fresh. Never know what someone could have on a old computer. Especially seeing it's for my 11 year old daughter.
  3. A little update. I was able to snag a decent HP desktop on letgo for 50 bucks that can run the game on medium-high graphics with no problems. It came with a AMD FX6120 3.5ghz cpu, 10 gigs of ram and a Radeon hd 7450 gpu.
  4. I know absolutely nothing about apple computers but I think I'll just drop the $80 and see what happens. Worst case I loose 80 bucks. Best case I get a nice little cheap way for my daughter to play the game on a bigger screen. I'm just trying to avoid dropping a few hundred dollars to build another desktop. I have a case and power supply so I just need the rest. She's using my surface pro right now that does a decent job just a little choppy. I'm hoping the mac can run things more smoothly. I have a feeling thermal compound is in my future.
  5. My friend is selling his old Mac for pretty cheap and I was wondering if it would be good enough to run the game for my daughter to play. Not looking to max out graphics or anything but something mid range that can run the game smoothly. Apple iMac 21.5" Mid 2010 Processor: Intel Core i3 Speed: 3.20 GHz Memory: 8 GB DDR3 Storage:1 TB HDD Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 512 MB
  6. I made this one years back.
  7. That's just it. My other computer loads very quickly so I have to assume it's isolated to a problem with this computer.
  8. I pulled my old computer out of the mothballs to play CoH again in style. It could run the game in ultra with no problems. Everything works flawlessly when in game but retrieving the characters takes forever. Funny thing is I was running the game on my surface pro 3 prior and I have no problems loading the characters. Some insight would be awesome.

  10. Perfect. Got everything up and running. Thanks for the help.
  11. I was a regular visitor of the "Fan Creation" section to post in the "Post your best costume" thread. It would be a good spot to add stuff like SG base pictures, AE missions, costume designs ECT. I'll also like how the old forum was set up. It was very organized with specific categories and subsections.
  12. Honestly I'm pretty sure I saved keybinds before. What would be the file name and extension? Any idea?
  13. When I played years ago I had my keyboard mapped in a very odd fashion but it was comfortable for me. Problem is I can't for the life of me figure out my old style. Things just don't feel "right". Well it just so happens I still have my old computer with all of the original ncsoft files intact collecting dust. Is there any way I can go into the program files and copy past a file that will rewrite my control setting in game? Im not very knowledgeable on game files so any type of help on this subject would me much appreciated.
  14. Character Name: Righteous Renegade Account: HyperAi Battlecry: My law is the only true justice.
  15. I remember my first time playing this game. It was back in early 2008. I saw it on a shelf in Walmart and decided to buy it. I had no idea what a MMO was at the time. When i saw i had to dish out 15 bucks a month to play I almost returned the game. At the time I was mainly a console player and that was unheard of for me. But I decided to give it a go and started a new character. Hyper AI, a inv/em tank. I wasn't too happy with my costume and asked around for a way to change it. I was told to take the tram to Steel Canyon. As I ran down the street the amount of purple enemies was staggering. I died at lead 5 times trying to make my way to the tailor. While hauling ass from a particularly mean looking high level mob I used the jump pack power I obtained from a code that came with the game to flee from another trip to the hospital. I ended up high up on a building in Steel Canyon and low and behold someone was on top of the very same building. It was some sick looking guy with a cloud like aura surrounding him flying up above looking over the city. He was a level 50 illusion storm controller. We started chatting and he showed me all of his insane level 50 abilities. I was in awe. And the fact that I just happened to run into this guy by chance blew my mind. I was used to one player console games so this whole experience was so very new to me. After the light show he proceeded to invite me to his team and somehow blessed me with the ability of flight. He guided me to the tailor and bid me a fond farewell. That was it. I was hooked. I played this game religiously until its closing. So many fond memories, good times and friends were made during those years. I so glad to be able to enjoy this great game once again.
