Holy necro Batman!
-
Definitely seems like a fit for the recent MCU DD!

So, I’m of Irish heritage. Always grew up loving DD since, you know, he is one of the few heroes with Irish heritage as well 😂 Comics are great, and I absolutely LOVED the Netflix adaptation (super pumped for Born Again on Disney+). I’d love to run a hero that is a homage to the Man With No Fear. What power sets would you go? I THINK I’ve settled on Street Justice, as I feel it really captures the grit of DD. Another option could be Dual Blades, but idk if they have an escrima/baton option. I guess Staff Fighting could work as well, however I recently ran that on a Tanker. Where it gets tricky is the secondary choice. I could see /Nin, /SR and /WP all working. /Nin seems really fitting, as he was trained by Stick, who was a member of The Hand. It also seems like the “middle ground” between SR and WP. /SR works because of his super senses. Don’t get hit, but when you do it hurts. /WP is more so influnenced by the Netflix show… that Daredevil just DOESN’T STAY DOWN. What do y’all think?

Power set pairings that are optimal on a Scrapper?
One IV All replied to BuiltDifferent5's topic in Scrapper
This hits the nail on the head for me, as someone who primarily teams myself. I guess I'm just too social to solo 😂 I will say to @SomeGuy's point, IF I was going to try and do some solo challenge (like ITF), at that point I'd defintely would go with one of my Scrappers that has a Taunt aura. No way I'm chasing those werewolves and Rommie around 😂 -
Yeah, I think I'll love that control aspect of the set.
-
ANOTHER option @Yomo Kimyata brought up a while back was Dark Armor/Kinetic Melee. The stacking disorients could work very nicely, but this would be an endurance hog haha.
-
I have messed around with the idea of a pure team tanker using Shield + Kinetic Melee for the stacking -dmg. I guess you could do the same with Ice Armor… For the Shield/KM, I’m just having trouble with how some of the attack animations look with the Shield (burst has a kind of weird one handed thing). On paper though, could be a great tanker for a team, functionally making enemies hurt your teammates less. Repulsing Torrent is also kind of sweet for a longer range “taunt” that does KD.

Yeah, for theme and synergy, that might be the pair. You have a sample build by chance?

I'm looking to level two Sents! One is a hover mage with Water Blast/Rad Armor. Just super AOE focused. For the other, I REALLY want to give Seismic Blast a go since it seems to have an awesome CRUNCH to it. Unlike my other Sent, this one will be played on the ground to make the most out of the Seismic Blast set. The three secondaries I have my eye on are Stone Armor, Bio Armor and Super Reflexes. Stone seems to fit thematically and has SOME synergy with being on the ground. I'd just have to work around the visuals. Bio Armor is... well, Bio Armor. I hear Sentinel Bio Armor gets some pretty nifty tricks as well, and Seismic Blast has some nice controls to it to let Bio Armor do it's thing. SR + Seismic Blast seems like it would have some PRETTY crazy recharge. I also hear SR is really tough, although it is lacking a heal (which Seismic also lacks). How do you like Seismic Blast on Sentinels, and does it have any particular synergy/mesh best with a certain secondary?

Did some slight reshuffling, as I felt I invested too much in Combat Readiness before. Scrapper (Street Justice - Shield Defense)1.mbd

Aesthetically, I think this combo is awesome! I'm no build master, but I tried throwing my own together mish-mashing some of the things I've seen from other people building the two sets. Would love to get some eyes on it so I can improve it. Some questions and thoughts I have: I'm not really sure where the Scrapper ATO's should go. Looks like I hit my positional soft caps and have SOME procs in there. My big thought now is which Alpha incarnate should I go? I could grab Musculature Radial to help with damage and endurance a bit.... OR I can go Agility Core which would help with dmg, defense and recharge. My thought there is I could potentially break down some sets for procs, since Agility Core could put me over the defense softcap. Scrapper (Street Justice - Shield Defense).mbd

I bet this thing hits like a Scrapper 😂

Good call out, I just felt that is more in line with the baddies they face!

Hey all! So I was watching The Guyver 2: Dark Hero with my buddies. Totally fun B movie if you ever get a chance to watch it! Anyways, it inspired me to make my own Guyver hero. To me, it has to be a Scrapper and it has to be Bio Armor. Those just fit IMO. Where it gets interesting is the primary. I feel that 3 fit best: Street Justice, Martial Arts and Claws. Street Justice has a strong “violence” and crunch to it that seems to fit thematically with the character. Martial Arts has a nice mix of punches and kicks. The combat style “flows” a bit like a Guyver. Claws is a little more out there, but Guyver units are famous for their elbow blades… claws is kind of the best substitute for that. Brings some quasi ranged moves as well. Do any of these primaries mesh particularly well with Bio Armor? Which one do you think would work best for a Guyver hero?

Been looking at this combo myself! Seems like they’d work great together.
