Thanks for this! Yeah, for the purposes of “just surviving”, it seems tough to beat Dark Melee. I really like the Fiery Melee choice though, as the baddies can’t take you down if they are all… ahem…. ARRESTED. 😂

You mind sharing your build? Seems like it would be an uber tough combo on a Stalker.

Thanks for confirming. I REALLY like staff on Tankers for the larger AOE’s/Target caps. However, it looks like AS for Staff on Stalkers can really push the offense for it. How is it toughness wise compared to other Stalkers you’ve run? Any other sets you feel mesh really well on a Stalker with Staff?

On paper, I could see this combo being the “studiest” tanker haha Part of me wonders if it’d almost be better suited on a Stalker since it’ll naturally be so tanky, and you get the added ST damage of Assassin’s Strike.

I love seeing both Ice Armor AND Staff Fighting getting some love.

Stone just seems great after the update. Any sets, other than Fiery Melee, you feel pair particularly well with it?

I think it looks pretty dang good. I’m no build master though, so can’t really answer the questions in your notes. Summoning @Spaghetti Betty who I know runs this combo on a Scrapper and @ZemX who is an overall Rad Armor guru. They probably have some great insights.

So I saw a Dragoon hero thread a while back and it inspired me. I want to make my own Dragoon Tanker Ala Final Fantasy/Legend of Dragoon. Staff Fighting and the Leaping power pool are obvious…. But what Tanker primary do you feel fits well for a Dragoon hero, and meshes well with Staff? I was leaning either Electric Armor or Dark Armor and go with an elemental theme, however I am completely open to suggestions!

I’d probably second the FF/Sonic Defender! Although the Dominator archetype seems really fitting for Magneto.

This is great!!! Yeah, the stone fx has usually been a hindrance. That being said, I think I can use crystallized look and do an “Ice” or “Shadow Armor” type of concept, depending how I color it.

Hey all! Making a return, and feeling like scrapper locking. Claws/Stone has stood out to me since it’s a combo you can’t run on a Tanker or Brute. Yes, you can roll it on a Stalker, but you lose out on Spin… and that’s a big miss for me. However, I’m having a rough time on landing on how to build out the new Stone armor/where my focus should be on the set. Does anyone have a Claws/Stone build I could use as a base. Also, if you’ve ran the combo… how do you like it? I primarily team.

Appreciate all of this. How does Stone Armor vs SR stack up against each other on a Sent?

Looking to run my first Seismic Blast hero. I know they perform better on the ground (compared to hover blasting) so I was looking at maybe Elec Armor or Stone Armor, since they have ground mechanics as well. That being said, I’m open to suggestions. Bio Armor and SR both seem like strong performers on a Sent. Any secondary have a particular synergy with Seismic Blast?

I personally am still looking for that OH YEAH Elec power set. Like when the thunderbolt comes out of the sky for Pikachu here 😂 I’m guessing the closest thing might be Elec Melee with Lightning Rod. Maybe Elec/Elec Tanker? Any other Elec sets feel like they have OOMP to them? Maybe some of the Dominator Elec sets. Elec Affinity has nice animations. Storm Blast has that awesome snipe, so maybe a Storm/Elec Affin Corruptor or something. Just spitballing here.

I totally just ruined the secret with this post, my bad man 😂 Yeah across the board it is so solid on a Tanker. Pretty easy to hit most caps. -tohit from DM is nice as well. Endurance is never an issue and AOE is pretty good with your damage aura, Shadow Maul and a proc’d our ToF. Honestly, could see it being just as great on a Brute. Elec hits caps there pretty easy, the damage aura keeps fury up and ToF/Shadow Maul fire off really quick.

Dude you did. I just still wasn’t prepared for just how… amazing it would be lol. Honestly hard to think of something in the game it couldn’t do/at least hold it’s weight in.

I just want to say I’ve leveled this combo recently and… WOW. What a beast it is. Two endurance recoveries, 2 heals. Maxed out resists pretty much across the board with nice AOE and ST damage. This thing just GOES. I honestly haven’t seen this combo a ton, but I feel it is pretty amazing. Anyone else run an Elec/DM Tanker? How do you like it?

Thanks for all this info. For stone, are there any primaries you feel go really good with it? Claws/Stone seems cool since, well, you can’t do that combo on a Brute or Tanker 😂 Not sure if that means it’s an actually good combo though. Katana might pair well. Looking at brimstone procs and the damage aura, seems like it’d bring some decent AOE to Katana. Fiery Melee just seems strong overall as well.

This was kind of my thought as well. I know it only has about 1/3rd uptime, but seems pretty sweet. Maybe get something like RoP and alternate them. That being said, how do you feel the set overall stacks up to Scrapper Stone Armor? Do you prefer one over the other?

Battle of the elementals! Which do you prefer on a Scrapper (and why) : Ice Armor or Stone Armor? Is one more robust than the other? One better for endgame content?
