  1. I also have recently made a TW/Nin scrapper whose costume is the body in all-black Spectrum and as obscured as possible by dark clouds, and then the demonic sword colored fairly normal red and gold. /Nin contains a stealth power that lets you crit out of it (would've been a Stalker but Stalkers don't get TW), which I will be running as often as possible. The intended efffect is to look like SUDENLY WTF GIANT SWORD OUT OF NOWHERE WHAT.

    I named it BFS.

You say that's silly but the concept of e.g. a giant animated possessed demon sword flying around taking people out on its own agenda is pretty awesome.  Like, fuck, if I ran into you on a team somewhere I'd roll with it.  Absolutely.

    Well, it's mostly the name...

  2. If you make that SG, Zoombie will be there.

  3. The Hour Thief: Midnighter Archivist, Avid Reader, Old Fashioned, Man In Black, Tempus Fugitive (someday), and Time Saver. His Praetorian double Tempo Rubato gets Old-Timer (badge unavailable to Primals).

Other characters of mine don't get a long list of potential good badges like that but I do pair them up when there's a good one, it's just not generally more than one: The New Colossus wears Passport, Spectral Relativity wears The Constant, Argent Provocateur wears The Silver Bullet, Blue Moonrise (an astral projection of a comatose psychic) gets Ethereal Drifter, and - the best badge to character matchup I have ever and will ever make - Saurus (a literal dinosaur) with Early Bird.

  4. One of my characters is the niece of the late John Knox (the Crimson Fist) - my headcanon for him is that he would be a psi melee user, based on what it says about him, because that neatly blends the 'fist' part of his name with the implied fortunetelling abilities mentioned in the lore about him that can be found. I don't play him because he is well established to be dead, killed in the first Rikti invasion, but Wanda (the niece)'s bio describes how that power runs in the family and she feels like she has big shoes to fill. Another facet I play up is the magic/mutation gray area - dual origin enhancements set the precedent for that being a thing; where does "genetic gift" end and "innate sorcery" begin when both mutants and magicians can use some of the same foci for their powers? Psychics in particular seem like a good place to explore that piece of worldbuilding, because a) mutant psychics are very clearly established as A Thing, and b) new-agey crystals and meditation fit neatly under the Magic origin umbrella.

  5. I don't know if this is going to pan out and frankly I'm terrified so please bear with me and I apologize if this thread isn't supposed to be here and will not be offended if it's moved or removed

  6. The Hour Thief is already in a text novel, though not yet in any graphic adaptation thereof (I swear it'll happen one day), alongside my SO's character The Devil's Doctor. It's titled The Interminables (author: Paige Orwin, the SO in question) and is part puzzle-box thriller and part buddy cop story set after the magic apocalypse in 2012.

  7. Hey all, huge hugs and you're welcome for the graphical changes :) I'm really happy you're so pleased with them!

If you've got someone doing this kind of thing now,  any chance they can look at the impervium katana skin for dual blades? It currently seems to be missing all its texturing.

I looked at this and it appears that the issue might be that the model used for Dual Blades is pointed at the wrong texture file, specifically the one that's used for the blade of the normal katana. The texture obviously exists (as seen on the model used for Katana and Ninja Blade), it's just a question of getting the game to see it - there's nothing for the texture artists themselves to do; it's fixing a pointer in the model itself that needs to happen for this to be fixed.

About make up that needs fixing. Would you consider making a SECOND version of those that does NOT include lip coloring, some time in the future? I rarely want the same color on the lips as I do on the eyes.

Those textures would be trivially easy to create and the question just becomes 'Can we add new color masks to the menus yet.' When the answer is yes, I can do that.

  8. If you confuse an enemy that has buffs, that enemy will then use its buffs on you. This is great with Rikti Guardians and Sky Raider Engineers, who make fights very annoying and don't have enough HP to warrant use of your higher-damage attacks that you should be using on the bigger enemies. Also, using Confuse powers doesn't break stealth, so you can do it before engaging.
