Last night, I had 3 hours to go on it when I logged off; nearly 20 hours later, and it appears to be broken. Holding the cowser over it under Badges doesn't show any time left (It's there in this screenshot), and the day job icon top right just shows "Pilot" but none of the stats as you would expect. EDIT: Someone in help chat on Everluing says that it happens when you're not fully red? Bovine here is a Vigilacty...

A small program to collect badges from CoH chatlogs
BovineAvenger replied to DocLiah's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
Cowming to this late, as I just recowmended it to people in chat again; It's picking up the cowrect amount of badges for me now, and I'm not seeing any errors except for the "rejects" as discussed above. So thank moo all! What a cowmunity! -
EDIT: Ignore this silly cow; I already had Jack, so it's a different badge I was missing. D'oh! After nearly 2 weeks of trying to find that evil bullock, Jack In Irons, I finally got a herd of 6 together to give him an udder beating; I'm not sure if he'd been fighting with Eochai, as he was not too far away, taking up my sleeping space in the barn. However we got credit for defeating him as you can see in the chat window (Lazare was in the herd), but I didn't get awarded the badge. I am not amoosed. Is it bugged, or the age old damage issue, do you think?

A small program to collect badges from CoH chatlogs

I've attached the chat log as requested. The badge titles are right at the start. Regarding the Notice of the Well, I have achieved that, but from doing a Weekly Strike Force. I don't have Mortimer Kal yet, or any of the badges associated with his strike force. I believe in the Live version, a "." badge was one which came from a Gladiator badge, and didn't have an associated title? I may be misremembering however. I'm going to give your latest version a go shortly, will let you know how it works! chatlog 2019-09-10.txt -
Is There A Way To Show What Badges You Don't Have?
BovineAvenger replied to BovineAvenger's topic in Badges
Ok, a cowmbination of this and AboveTheChemists in game title files works to get me to within 3 of my total badges. You'll need the attached zip at the linked page, as the GitHub archive doesn't have an obvious Windows build. -

Small error with this so far; I have 1109 badges, but it's only counting 1106. I'm not sure which is missing? I get the following report for myself; ERROR: Badge . is not in database ERROR: Badge Cliché is not in database ERROR: Badge Liberator is not in database ERROR: Badge Master of the Airwaves is not in database ERROR: Badge Reject Common Recipes is not in database ERROR: Badge Reject Defense Inspirations is not in database ERROR: Badge Reject Protection Inspirations is not in database ERROR: Badge Reject Rare Recipes is not in database ERROR: Badge Reject Resistance Inspirations is not in database ERROR: Badge Reject Uncommon Recipes is not in database Loaded 1106 badges for Bovine Avenger -
Hello heifers and gentle-bulls, Using HeroStats and the binds that AboveTheChemist put together, it's possible to import the badges you cowrently do have; does anyone know a way you cud check them off against a full list and highlight the ones still missing? It's rather a herd task to manually add over 1100 for me to the spreadsheet! Thank moo for any suggestions.

I'm cowrently badge hunting just on live, and I recently got to the Praetorian mission, "Collapsing Support (Neutropolis Crusader Ch.4)". In it you have to choose between Loyalist or Resistance, but unless I'm reading it incowrectly, when you select the Loyalist mission, (Gold on the right), the AV calls you a traitor and attacks, and you get the Resistance part of the arc (defeat AV, release Devouring Earth) and the Resistance badge, "Obliterator". I cow not see any information on this badge online, as the older wikis all list that title as a different badge. Running it again and again, and trying to choose different options seems to show the blue, resistance option also sets the AV to attack you and also calling you a traitor, but then sends you to plant bombs instead, and doesn't reward any badge at all. I think the mission is bugged then?

I've Recreated The Binds That Tag Badges For HeroStats
BovineAvenger replied to BovineAvenger's topic in General Discussion
Thank you for doing all of this work AboveTheChemist; also I salute both the Sisters Of Mercy logo, and the Sisters related user name! 😉 Real life aggro meant that I wasn't able to focus much on this again, and I adapted the file lengths to an approximation that I knew definitely worked, not the most efficient, and you've done an admirable job of really squeezing them! I also wasn't sure how to get the old binds to unload and switch to the next one, so left that out and focused on just trying to mass type the numbers, knowing some of you more skilled with cowding would tidy up later... I'll have a fiddle with your scripts myself shortly, but again, thanks for all the hard work! -
I've Recreated The Binds That Tag Badges For HeroStats
BovineAvenger replied to BovineAvenger's topic in General Discussion
It doesn't yet... but many people are considering setting up a badge site which will use the data; also it allows you to cross check without being in game what you have. -
With Herostats now being updated for Issue 25, after much searching online, I just could not find a valid link to the old Bind files that allowed you to quickly select all the badges you had to update into said prog. My udders are sore, and my milk is now curdled, but I've done the best I can to recreate them and now I'm sharing the files with you. They are not perfect, as I'm exhausted with all the typing, so there's bound to be a few typos inside still... but hopefully this thread will get someone who has the original fully bug checked files to cowm forward! In the meantime, you need to do the following. 1.) Download the zip file here. 2.) Unzip the folder into the root folder of your City of Heroes install. 3.) Start the game, and Herostats. 4.) Type in chat "bind_save" to back up your own settings. 5.) Now type "bind_load_file Drive\Path to City Of Heroes\badgetagger1.txt" So if you've installed in C:\CityOfHeroes you should type "bind_load_file C:\CityOfHeroes\badgetagger1.txt" 6.) Now do the following. Press 0 to 9 on your number pad. Then Shift + 0 to 9. Then CTRL + 0 to 9. Then Alt and 0 to 9. This starts switching your badge title to batches of badges at once, so HeroStats can see them. 7.) Now press enter to get back into chat, then the up arrow to get the path you typed up. Change "badgetagger1.txt" to "badgetagger2.txt." 8.) Repeat steps 6-7 until you get to "badgetagger5.txt". Currently it's set to go up to #3000 for future badges, and it should unbind all the keys again when you start pressing un-needed keys in said file. 9.) If you're still missing any badges in HeroStats, it's probably a typo on my part. Tell me which one, and I'll try and cross check which number is incorrect and add it to badgetagger5 for later users. Or you can manually check for yourself here; to set your own title to pick it up, type "/settitle #" in chat. 10.) Reload your own binds, if you had them, by typing "bind_load" And you're done! Hope you all find this useful; and remember, heroes need milk for healthy bones!

The Homecoming of HeroStats
BovineAvenger replied to ineffablebob's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
I would just like to say that, however limited Herostats may be without badge hunting sites back up yet, just seeing the logo again as the executable started up was a flood of nostalgia, so thank you! -
Hey folks, I can't find an obvious way to do this, and the only answer I've had on Discord is to import into my own private server, which isn't quite what I want... I still have the .xml files from Sentinel listing my characters, costumes and builds from the old Sentinel tools. I've been able to extract and import the costumes (as well as put back my AE arc from Live) but I can't see an easy way to see how the character was built except going through it as a text file and trying to read it... Neither MIDs nor Pine's Hero Designer can load it, and I can't find another tool that might. I just want to be able to see the layout of the slots, powers, enhancements etc without trying to run my won server, does anyone know of a way please? Thank moo!

Greetings all; I used to play Union back in the day, but way back then I had a hyphen in the name, and was "Bovine-Avenger". For those who want to see the very last moments of Union, here is the video I made at the time... . Now, I got the name for the cowracter without a hypen, but someone managed to pinch the chat handle and instead that's Bovine-Avenger now! Oh well, cown't win them all. And it's good to be chewing the cud with you all again. And good to see how many cow themed characters are being made; this is why City of Heroes rocks, the infinite variety of ruminants you can rummage up. There may be udder things, but it's all about the moo. Anyway, I just wanted to say a couple of things. I play on Everlasting now, if anyone from Union wants to say hello. I managed to save my costume via Sentinel and re-import them all into Homecoming; but is there any way to grab your cowracter build from it? I can't seem to find a copy of any of my MIDs files to recreate those old true moo feelings... I also managed to save my old Mission Architect arc from live; "Apocalypse Cow" is live once more; On the old COH forums, I recall one review went something like "I was staring at the screen in disbelief..." Yes, hundreds and hundreds of cow puns, in the flavour text, in the mobs IDs, everywhere! But because of the copious balance changes over the years since, I'm not sure if it's beatable both solo and in large teams, so if some of you would be so kind as to test it and give feedback, I'd appreciate it. What else to say? It's a shame there's no herostats equivalent... yet... but with the cowmunity all coming back I have high hopes for similar. Andt's a shame Sals Badgehunters is gone, there doesn't appear to be a record of my total anywhere else, but I had 1644 according to the Sentinel file. It's easily forged I know, but I'm back in game and working slowly towards honestly re-achieving them all again; so thank you to the Dev Team for releasing this to the public. Hopefully now I'll never have to leave again! And remember folks; Ha, even our signatures on the old forums used to be so much smaller back then...
