  1. Were the respec trails made easier at some point in the games history? This is often something I've wondered as any team I'm on steamrolls and wins these days. Back on live it took many attempts. Could be set builds and heroes are more powerful now.

    On the window that opens, kind of in the middle, increase the font size for Power Selections to 9.25 (one click of the up arrow).

  3. Did anyone here go to the CoH convention at the Omega Sektor in Birmingham back in 2008? There was a race held in game, artists to draw your toons, a Q and A etc. Still got my ncsoft bag of free stuff. Also Shadow Shard soldiers can spawn with the surnames of attendees. I went with my best mate and I always get a wave of nostaliga when I see an npc with our names. If I did it again I'd have to get a hotel. Sleeping at the venue meant I found out how many CoH players snore really loud.

  4. All I know on creating a character is that I am never picking concept over fun again. When shield came out I picked energy melee over electrical as it fit the concept better. Not only did I pick a rubbish set over a good one, (a combo many chose for how good it is in fact) the em clipped horribly through the shield and drove my ocd craaaazy! But I had to stick with it because 'mah concept'.

     

    I just go with fun now.

  5. The TK Cavalier, Shield/Psi Melee Tank. Shield is just so great all round. Positional defense, DDR, best mez protection, resistance, cool attack etc, etc. Makes an easy to work with base for a set build and adds something to your costume, too.

     

    Psi Melee includes telekinesis, my favourite super power. Also the variety in secondary effects and animations is nice.

  6. I only took assault as there was nothing left of any worth to take once we got afterburner for free. From a tank point of view I don't think its worth it in a lot of cases. Yet another toggle sapping your endurance and a small benefit compared to how you're already protecting the team in an already easy game.

  7. I can only think of 2 double edged swords. Travel powers at level 14 meant you got to know a few zones a lot better and added the thrill of danger and tension. However I love being able to soar through the sky at level 4. So much more freedom.

     

    Then there's IO's. I can make toons much better, fill in gaps and skip certain powers to make my builds easier but things can be too easy. Temptation of power vs challenge. One of the reasons I enjoy leveling more than being 50 at times. Looking forward to trying hard mode content.
