My complaint could be solved by adding a few snake spawns to Paragon. Since the tip mission mentioned earlier was a Crey experiment, perhaps some of those experiments could have escaped the lab and found their way into Crey's Folly. Alternatively, since villains are now going to be coming to Striga Isle, it makes sense that some snakes from the Rogue Isles could sneak into a boat and start breeding in Striga.

This is feedback that is appreciated and I can agree with. Instead of just saying unlockable costume parts are evil, this seems like a rather easy addition to make bluesiders not have to side switch, however temporarily that may be, to get them on redside.

A bigger issue is that as far as I know, Snakes don't really spawn in Paragon City at all except for a single vigilante tip mission in the level 20-29 range. This can make the pieces annoying to get for "pure" heroes since it's so easy to miss that tip (and the tips are given randomly). I know there's the mission computer SG base item for this but that's an annoying hoop to jump through.

Swap alignments at Null in Pocket D, street sweep redside for like 10 minutes to unlock it, then swap back. Super easy.

Master of Dr. Quaterfield if you do it without any travel powers.  Just using sprint/athletic run/etc and the Geysers.  Not even a temp flight or jump pack.  Call it "The Long Way Round".

This is probably the most sadistic badge one can suggest...so I'm of course all for it.

2)- Will the remaining locks on costume pieces be lifted? Currently I still cannot put a trenchcoat/duster/matrix coat on a hero, only a villian. I was able to add it to a hero on the old servers.

I think you’re just not looking in the right spot because there is no alignment lock on costume pieces.

As the topic title says, I'd love to be able to take shield defense as a sentinel.  A few restrictions would probably have to be put in place, (perhaps not allowing dual pistols, assault rifle, beam rifle, or archery), but otherwise there really shouldn't be any issues - Tankers, Scrappers, and Stalkers can get various blast attacks via their APPs/PPPs, so that precedent already exists.  The set would probably have to be modified, like others, though - as much as I'd love to keep shield charge, this would probably be dropped in favor of some sort of end recovery power, and I could see grant cover or phalanx fighting getting replaced with some absorb click power.  Your thoughts?

I’d love Shield Defense as a Sentinel option, provided all the animation issues were able to be fully worked out.

  6. All bases that weren't considered as finalists for their respective categories should have been part of the Community Choice poll. I'd recommend that for the next one.

Also, it’s not a great look when a CR has their base as a poll option as well as them being a judge; regardless if they aren’t personally allowed to vote on it. Either the judge needs to completely recuse themselves from the next contest or the base has to not be included.

You seem to have a thing for purple, light green, and shade colors.

Conqueror, Saturn, and Starscourge all stand out.  Starscourge is a pretty great Warshade name.

Well those in particular have similar color schemes but yeah, I do tend to use more muted colors for most of my costumes. I was pleasantly surprised Starscourge was available when I got it.

All this does is make a hard to get currency for the sake of grinding.

I thought that grind was the entire point behind the devs introducing this completely optional currency for even more completely optional NPC costumes.

If it was something that actually affected your character like powers or enhancements I would be in total agreement that the grind for Aether Particles was ridiculous.

In this instance however, play at your own pace and eventually you'll likely earn enough to get that specific costume you want. If you're wanting everything right from the outset, either spend the influence or grind through the Hard Mode TFs.

  9. It's pretty simple folks. If you want to know and be involved in what's going on in Closed Beta, join the testing Discord. If you're fine waiting until Open Beta, feel free to stick to the forums only. It's your choice but you don't get to complain about Closed Beta information not being readily available on the forums if you aren't willing to go easily find it on the Discord. The link's already been posted in this thread; it's right there if you care enough to know what's going on in the continued development of HC.

I'm seriously at a loss here. This isn't about whether Reddit is good or bad. It's just some people offering an invitation to join a channel there.

Now if people lack the basic tact to be supportive of other players and are going to suck the air out of the room by venting their grievances with the platform--might as well have a laugh. Especially when the memes are on point. If you don't want to be called a boomer, stop acting boomerish.

After getting caught up on this thread here, I agree with your sentiment completely. A player posted a place for folks on HC to talk about HC and this thread devolved, as most things on this forum eventually do, into gripes about Reddit as a whole and completely ignoring the point was inviting HC folks to a specific area to talk about HC.

  11. If the NPC was there for the entire year and not a minuscule three week period, I would probably say sure why not to moving her.

This though just seems like a waste of time for an already volunteer development group to bother to mess with when the easiest course of action is some players will just have to move somewhere else for a couple weeks until they can get their sacred spot back.

if they feel like doing it for next year’s event, sure have at it.

The Hall of Heroes is on an island off the coast of Rhode Island. Non-powered visitors are able to utilize the Paragon City ferry service to arrive.

Upon arrival to the Hall of Heroes, visitors are immediately greeted by the large outdoor plaza. Food vendors line the lower sides of the raised fountain platform which itself serves as a memorial to fallen heroes (also a nice spot for Costume Contests :P).

The main floor inside the Hall of Heroes contains a lounge, museum and training simulator. The main entrance is also lined by two elevators; one to the bottom floor which houses a cafeteria, training room and library; while the upper floor contains offices for the leaders of the Global Defense Force as well as a meeting area. Behind the meeting area is a secure access elevator to the secret base below the Hall of Heroes which contains a large medical bay, hangar and workshop/teleport hub for the GDF.
