  1. I literally don’t think ‘superhero fatigue’ is a thing. It’s a made up excuse that studios use when they put out shit films. If you craft solid storylines and adventures properly people will show up, regardless if the cast is in full blown period costumes or spandex and tights. There is no ‘superhero fatigue’. There is a ‘creative/quality deficit’ when it comes to Hollywood and its writers.
  2. I do the same as a BG built MM and because I like smacking things with thunder strike. Fully fitted with Crono, Farsight, and incarnate shields you can simply eat everything. Plus it’s awesome to be duking it out in the middle of a demon horde. But apparently not all people appreciate it as much as i do in that fight….lol.
  3. I’d just never heard of it before is all. Since she tends to spawn the death beams on herself, the minute you hear the noise I always got the heck out of dodge. I do tend to play that fight with the camera drawn further back, so it makes things easier to see. Not a huge deal to swap tactics for me (especially since at current incarnate levels it’s a fairly trivial run). Just found it odd that I somehow missed out on that information for so long.
  4. I've never gotten angry when someone has had to bounce due to real life. It's such a rare thing. I did get yelled at the other day for using a flying power to get out Battle Maiden's death beam (Apex). First time I've heard anyone complain about that in almost 3,000 hours on live and Homecoming combined, so that was news to me. Always thought it was rather easy to dodge since you get the visual and audio warning, but to each their own.
  5. I played this game the first time early 2004. I was on mid tour leave from Iraq and I can not stress how exciting it was to hit stateside and see this was released. Over the next 10-12 days, when I wasn't catching up with family, I was posted in front of my computer flying thru the streets of Paragon on my blaster. Over the next several years I continuously played the game whenever I was back in garrison and enjoyed every minute of it. During that time, my wife got into it as well and it lead to some great drunken nights sitting at home and bonding. It was a sobering moment when the game shut down and to this day, this was the only game I ever looked back at and desperately wished I could play again. The community, gameplay, and just overall feel was vastly different from the rest of the MMO market. Thank you whole heartedly for bringing it back. I'm still in the military, and still playing when I'm in garrison. Besides several grey hairs on my part, it's just like old times.
  6. They definitely won’t be putting up those ‘holy crap’ damage numbers. But their roots and disorients work fairly well. If I remember right (I don’t PvP that often) thugs do much better, especially with gang war. PvP viability will depend on your secondary. Gotta have those heals so you can be a beast tank in body guard mode. The humanoid pets do make it easier to hide in the mix. Just use one of your tailor outfits to look just like your pet. Then you can incognito maul people.
  7. I used to main a merc/traps MM back when the game was ‘live’ that did just fine. You don’t put up huge damage numbers but it’s fairly consistent across all enemy types you go against. The thing you do bring is a lot of debuffs (and the random CCs from pet moves). They’ll never be top of the charts (except on debuffs, seriously, those little machine guns can shred defenses quick) but they’re a solid choice especially if you group a lot. Just grab your leadership talents, sit in the back and direct your forces, and watch things fall.
