Oh, I knew this was coming. "Buh-buh-but, Boas!" you say, "wuh-wuh-what about my EMPOWERMENT TABLES?" OK. Go over to your precious empowerment table. Do it right now. Look at that list. This is a perfect example of how white salvage clutters up the game, making it less accessible. That stupid list could be over THREE TIMES SHORTER if you took white salvage out of the game. Why not just make it a straight-up inf transaction? It basically is already, with the tedious extra step of having to spend it on white salvage before you visit the table. None of these things couldn't just be a straight-up inf transaction, either. And vendoring white salvage for inf? Are you serious? If my salvage inventory was stuffed with that crap and I vendored every single piece at 250 a pop (a process which involves literally hundreds of mouse clicks), I'd net less than 50k. Less than the vendor price of the cheapest IO recipe. Get real! Yeah. Maybe it's not clear how effectively worthless white salvage really is. If I had 180 slots of my auction house inventory devoted to white salvage, with 10x pieces in each slot, and could actually sell every piece of it for 1k, that would total 1.8 million inf. Repeat that entire process TEN MORE TIMES, and you MIGHT have enough to nab a SINGLE Apocalypse IO off the AH. GOOD LUCK! Just get rid of it!

I've seen posts about blocking white salvage drops from the P2W vendor. Posts about an option to mass-sell white salvage. These are cowardly half-measures. Eliminate white salvage. Just get rid of it. Remove it all from the game. What will we lose? The price of individual white salvage components is negligible. It ONLY serves to inhibit the player, making us scrounge a piece of it for crafting. It's not hard to get, it's just annoying to get, and annoying to dispose of. Sometimes, creating a work of art requires the commitment to throwing part of it away if it doesn't work. White salvage doesn't work.

We're superpowered freaks, we defy fate all the time. The drawback is that you miss out on the good buff if you don't slog through the bad one. If abuse is the issue, maybe have a debuff applied when you accept that prevents you from getting another card for a while.

I like this idea. First use of the reveal power gives us the shaded, translucent fog of war layer, revealing the map while also letting you see where you've been. Second use of the reveal power could eliminate that layer, too.

Yeah, "minimal" effect options, like those for stone armor, but for spines/thorns, would be great

I just tried it and couldn't cancel by right-clicking. Gives me an idea, though... Maybe make it so you can click the power off, if you get a detrimental card... but when it expires, you automatically draw one of the better cards? That would incentivize players to keep a bad draw in anticipation of getting a good one when it wears off. Just a thought! Might be a lot of work to develop something like that, though. Since I started playing again last year, I've used Secondary Mutation hundreds of times, and I have yet to get a single monkeymode. It used to happen all the time, at the worst times! I was starting to think they'd removed the effect, or made the chance even lower. At this point, I'm going to cheer when monkeymode happens again, because it's been so long... even if it immediately results in my death.

Yeah, but you're talking about power effects. Those help let you know what's going on in combat. A huge sloshing wake and neon streak chasing you around is just flavor. I'm not necessarily saying it would be too much flavor, but it could be abusable, and some people might find it obnoxious, so I'd anticipate that being an argument against it.

Oh yeah, a lot of those would look cool together. Combined, though, they might produce a disruptive amount of effects for other players.

Like I said, I don't always want another full-body effect. If I just want one flaming fist and some glowy eyes, I'm out of luck. Those power auras can be pretty overwhelming. Plus they're expensive! I think I'd be cool with that. Being able to pick two path auras might be a bit much, though.

I can't be the only person who thinks having a second aura slot would be great for character customization. Cryogenic fog sheeting off your ice/cold corruptor, while supercooled slush drips from one arm? Rocky crumble and flaming eyes for your seismic/fire blaster? Maybe a new mission from the Icon shop to unlock it, much like the extra costume slots. You might say the costume powers you can buy with Prismatic Aether lets you do this. Those are all full-body effects, though. What if I just want glowing eyes and sparking fists? Is it too much to ask? If there's some issue with costume effects being too busy or overlapping, this "minor" slot could have none of the "body" aura options. Just eyes, head, fists, and whatever. Or, hey, just let us go wild. There's already plenty of silly things we can do with character customization. How about it?

You may not realize this, but such a device was under development at Portal Corp a few decades ago. It was called the Urgent Desire-Detecting Relocator and it looked something like this: Yeah, the guy designing it said you had to grab the teat for it to work right. It never worked right. It was weird. He got fired. But the plans are still around there somewhere! Maybe...

I like what the Homecoming team did with the Freaklok. Combining two once-major factions, which sort or took a back seat in later content, is a fun way to freshen them both up. Maybe the Outcasts do similar with the Warriors, training in martial arts and using their abilities to summon powerful elemental weapons. It makes sense for these two factions to cooperate, as they have mutual enemies in the Tsoo and Trolls. Some people in the Warriors might be resistant to this, too. Is the behavior of certain Outcast recruits another reason Alexander has become so disillusioned with the Warriors he once helped lead? As for the Trolls, did we ever get a storyline exploring in more depth the source of Superadyne? My guess would be either Crey or Arachnos. Both groups have good reason to keep the stuff flowing... especially if they're the ones selling it. It's even possible Superadyne and the Trolls are part of some illicit, large-scale experiment. There's always someone pulling the strings when it comes to drugs being pumped into inner city areas, right? And the CIA isn't a faction, so...
