  1. The most useful bit of TA is Flash Arrow, because it doesn't aggro. It makes it a little easier to pull slightly smaller groups of mobs out of big groups.
  2. There is a search field in item placement. Type "beacon" in there and you'll get them :)
  3. Wind Control for Controllers and Dominators Experimentation Power Pool Force of Will Power Pool Gadgetry Power Pool Utility Power Pool These powers are not finished. They either lack code, or animations. Maybe both. As far as I understand Savage Melee was also incomplete/lacking animations and had some stuff reused from other power sets to make it work.
  4. More than one person worked on SCoRE. Leandro is the only current public facing member of that team (to my knowledge). I wouldn't be surprised if the other developers never come forward due to the amount of backlash leandro faced when the dam busted.
  5. I love the PBAOE in Psi. Especially when you've got an aggrocap amount of mobs on you. Its like that old trope where a hero does an explosive stretch when being dog piled and baddies go everywhere.
  6. A glued together set of software based on a beta version of a leaked copy compiled by volunteers in their spare time is buggy? You don't say.... There are lots of people working on cleaning up and optimizing the server software. Be patient. No one is getting paid to do this.
  7. There are a couple of groups working on Localization. The code is not "lost" Its just difficult to reimplement and update certain parts of the game that were not already localized.
  8. Been doing Psi/inv on a brute. Pretty fun :)
  9. He sometimes posts in the ourodev discord.
  10. Unpopular opinion; Galaxy city should be a contested starter zone... where level 1-5s fight for control :)
  11. From what I understand he is using a modified version of the EXE file that points to a more modern version of the physX dlls. Client source code leaked a while ago, and thats how this was accomplished.
  12. The OP wasn't saying to "call the police", they were gently letting new players know that there's more than just DFB out there. Just because YOU already know that, doesn't mean that everybody does. People aren't playing the game the way I do, better tell them how to play a video game where freedom of choice is a core concept
  13. People aren't having fun the same way I do. Better call the police.
  14. https://streamable.com/99nvy A short video of working PhysX, and the primary issue at the moment. :) This is Michael's work and video. LOOK AT ALL THAT DEBRI Y'ALL!
  15. They are not the same thing. I think the only person from SCORE working with Homecoming is Leandro.
  16. Well, they're working from SCORE, which as far as I am aware has had the sources released. If Leandro sees this he can maybe comment on that. As far as sources, I understand that SCORE is based in I24. The source for that is definitely out in the open. I think the developers for homecoming made some changes, and thats why the custom SCORE exe breaks a couple of small things. I tested it for a few hours, even did a rikti raid with it, and the badge display was the only bug I found. Either way, the work is being documented and I have hope that it could be implemented here. Michael has continued to do work on PhysX over the last couple of days (has persistent shotgun shells working!), and I can confirm that atleast with the current iteration of changes all you need is a Nvidia card in your configuration for it to work.
  17. Sorry for triple post. Hybrid PhysX works with Michael's patch and modified EXE. One thing I did notice is that it breaks the badge display though, but that's only on homecoming.
  18. Okay. It worked for me :) Unfortunately sometime during the games life it seems like they nerfed the effects a little. There isn't a ton of debri floating around, but atleast you can now throw trash at people :)
  19. Yes! You can see the difference with PINES her designer, or use the detailed info in character creator.
  20. Michael Cullen has managed to add physX support back into the game for I-24 The commit is here https://git.ourodev.com/CoX/Source/pulls/54 Link to the ORO page with the commit is here; https://ourowiki.ouro-comdev.com/index.php?title=Magnet_Links With a little homecoming team attention/review and a small patch I think this could be a thing again. Edit; I'm getting ready to try this with a compiled I25 exe with the changes. I'll post up here in a bit if it works.
  21. My best memory is hitting 50 the first time in the War Zone, with my RL buddies. It wasn't my intention to shame anyone for what they liked. Those were my first notable experiences with the game, and not a backhanded statement towards what other people enjoy. I am very against the idea of policing what other people find to be fun. Having people like this try and bring down everyone else. Really. My first impressions with this game were people trying to make the game feel like work and that there was/is a 'right' way to play, concerned only with the details, not into actually having fun... Thankfully, I know how to have fun and not be a grognard so I have lots of great memories that don't include people trying to make the game more like work so they can feel better...
  22. This wasn't true on Live and it wasn't true when the homecoming servers were first put up and AE farms had normal rewards.
  23. That isn't totally true, especially not when comparing brutes and tanks. I believe the real reason red is less popular is because it doesn't have as much content. It was also functionally its own game before the two sides were married.
  24. I have to disagree on market prices. They really only hurt if you expect to smurf out your first character as you level, in which case TOs, DOs, and SOs would have absolutely no place in the game. I honestly wish something could be done to tweak the balance between the different origin enhancements without nerfing anything, but that's a different discussion entirely. Seeding the salvage prices was both the right and wrong thing to do.. if that makes sense. It definitely drastically lowered the prices of many things on the market, but it also in a way too fast cash out of the hands of newbies or people with altitus. It is no longer worth it to sell salvage except if you want to earn the badges. Once you get a fitty and start looking at what sells and how to get those things you'll start making ridiculous amounts of INF. Do it on more than one character and you're super rich in no time. At the end of the day, its no ones job to be the police of how other people have fun; so long as that fun isn't diminishing anyone elses fun or hurting anyone. I've said it before; If it weren't for traditional AE farms causing server stability issues I wouldn't care.
  25. Unlocking each power without being able to see them in the costume creator. Getting my first cape. Unlocking auras. There is definitely a feeling of progression that is missing.
