I ran it again through Ouro and got the bonus mission and badge!  After bringing Abby, Eida, and Medusa back to the lab, I stood on the little sewer platform to the right of the lab entrance and made sure I did most of the damage to Dreck.  That bonus mission is awesome!

Same. I did it again through Ouro, made sure to bring all three of the hostages back at the same time, did the ambushes and made sure to do a lot of the damage to Dreck to finish the mission.

Nothing different flagged up at all, no extra clues, but I got the extra mission from Dap-Dap. Weirdly, I was doing the mission, started the fight with Nemesis and was halfway through the fight when it told me I had the badge, so not sure how that's supposed to work. Is it defeating Nemesis? Just fighting him? Or just accepting and starting the mission?

Either way, Nemesis was kicking my ass, so I bailed and left with the badge 😄

Either way, I got the final badge and I'm back up to the full amount of badges again, so that's nice 🙂

Dreck dying should always grant an Arc Var, stored in the storyarc.

Now, because of how 'credit' works, if you sat back and never hit Dreck, and didn't get credit, I imagine it might be possible that the variable doesn't award as a result, but I tested this mission for that, and was pretty sure that wasn't happening.

If you want to test before I can, trigger the ambushes and do not engage with Dreck at all, and see what happens if the base defenses kill him for you.

If this is actually the case, I will have to write a failsafe Lua watchdog.

I definitely hit Dreck, several times, but something hit me back harder, so I died. 😄

I'll try it again on my badger to try and get the badge this time, and I'll use one of my other 50's to try and see if it doesn't work by avoiding Dreck.

To get Brass Tax and the mission that gives it, all you need to do in the Dap-Dap finale is rescue Abby, Eida and Medusa, and bring them all back to the lab alive. Defeating the Dreck that ambushes the lab will grant the variable that unlocks the Brass Tax mission, that and only that. Dap-Dap hints that the rescuees are valuable, and that Piecemeal would be very grateful to have all those assets secured as well as the lab.

Ok, not sure about the first time round but second time I definitely did all of the things mentioned here and didn't get the badge or mission.

However, I did die a couple of seconds before Dreck died and then rezzed myself, so is it possible that could have glitched it somehow?

  4. Ok, how on earth do I get this damn badge! 😄

I've ran the arc twice and can't figure out what I'm missing.

I think I've done the prerequisite arcs already, unless there's another I've missed?

I can't see what I need to do to get the bonus stuff for this bloody badge!

Anyone know what to do yet? Some one must as several people have all the new badges yet (I'm looking at you, Voltor 😛 ) and it's the only one I have to get.

  5. I really enjoyed Ncuiti's first season, despite all the naysayers. Space Babies was fun, but a strange choice for ep 1.  LOVED 73 yards!

Was NOT expecting Sutekh at all, great reveal,. but damn, that ending was weak.  Defeated the biggest bad of them all by taking him for walkies through the time vortex?

Really undercut the mavity of the situation, I felt.

Still, LOVED the Xmas special and both eps of the new season so far have been excellent.

As for all the talk of doom and gloom for the series?

    Don't make me laugh!! 😉

  6. As per the title, what do people recommend for this badge with a blaster?

I know I need at least 4 blasters for it, so I'm guessing the shorter the better? Penny Yin is a possibility?

Would normally have said Posi 1 but beating that doubles team at the end could be a nightmare! 😄

    Any suggestions?

No, but assuming you're using Badger and not City of Badgers you can manually add them to character's badge counts. Architect X = Plugged In and Architect XXV = Mission Seeker.

I'm using City of Badgers.......wait, am I in the wrong thread? 😄

  8. Love this show!! Already ordered the new Collection Blu-Ray, as I have all the Doctor Who ones as well 🙂

Fun fact, I once went to see a stage performance of Guards, Guards by the late, great Sir Terry Pratchett and it starred Paul Darrow as Captain Vimes. He was excellent in the role 🙂

Just a heads up while you're working on adding the Issue 28 badges. At some point the names of the Architect X and Architect XXV badges were changed to Plugged In and Mission Seeker respectively and won't auto-add to characters using the log parser.

Drove me nuts for 20 minutes trying to figure out the 2 badge difference until I noticed that.

    THANK YOU!!

Been trying to work out why I was two short on the list!! Couldn't seem to find the damn things! 😄

Well, that's the question, isn't it? Who are any of us, really?

My readers call me Matthew. My students call me Sir. My son calls me Daddy Man. My wife calls me "oi you". I was once called The Housewife's Choice.

Most just call me Ben. Or FG. Good to see you again.

    Ah, right.

"Oh, yes. We’re the only ones who know how to make things work. You see, the only thing the good people are good at is overthrowing the bad people. And you’re good at that, I’ll grant you. But the trouble is that it’s the only thing you’re good at. One day it’s the ringing of the bells and the casting down of the evil tyrant, and the next it’s everyone sitting around complaining that ever since the tyrant was overthrown no one’s been taking out the trash. Because the bad people know how to plan. It’s part of the specification, you might say. Every evil tyrant has a plan to rule the world. Good people don’t seem to have the knack."

    --Terry Pratchett, Guards! Guards!

You quoted Pratchett. Therefore, I now love you.*

*Not actually love, love you, more of a platonic matesy slap-you-on-the-back, pals kind of way. You know, like Colon and Nobby. I'll even let you be Colon!
