page 3 [FOCUSED FEEDBACK] Ninjitsu Adjustments
Captain Powerhouse replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
As Maelwys noted, this is leftover of an abandoned experiment. Note has been corrected here and in the main patch notes. -
page 3 [FOCUSED FEEDBACK] Fiery Aura Adjustments
Captain Powerhouse replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
It might be possible, with some huge unreliable hacks (and lot of potential for bugs/exploits) to make an adaptive recharge power have proc rates at the highest possible recharge but that is highly unlikely even if we could make sure its bug free. There is just no way to make procs follow the adaptive recharge variations, meaning even if used against a single target, the power would be procing at inflated high rates. You would quickly have AoE utility powers that proc 90% chance on a single target every 5s or less. Still, there will be further adjustments to the power in the next build based on feedback. Keep your eyes on upcoming changes. -
page 3 [FOCUSED FEEDBACK] Bio Armor Adjustments
Captain Powerhouse replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Good morning, everyone As I have noted in other threads today, we are in the mist of holiday breaks so expect updates and communication to be sparse. I do want to update a bit here: there are going to be further adjustments to the set. Some are already queued up. It's very likely many will still not be trilled by the changes regardless what the final form takes, but this set did need toning down even if many don't agree. I think it might had even been literally been the only set name dropped by the former devs during the anniversary event QA as needing a tone down. Not everything is finalized for the next build, but can at least note two changes that some might appreciate: Inexhaustible changes will be rolled back. DNA Siphon unpopular scheme to control regen/heal by using different Adaptations will also be rolled back Sentinel Rebuild DNA changes will be rolled back Again, this is not all that is changing but at least two of these things have been continuously talked about so wanted to make sure you had a heads-up. Not sure when the next build will be out, holiday times make scheduling patches a bit hard. I do can only hope we can have a build out this weekend, though. -
Just a reminder that things are in active development (slow active due to the holiday break, everyone is spending more time with their loved ones and iteration will be slow). I am not following this project too closely as it's being managed by @Player-1, but its my understanding that there are already several adjustments in the queue. Due to the mentioned holidays, I am not sure when the next build will be hitting open beta, but I already was sent a commit with adjustments to the set. I don't think you should expect the requested proc rate I seen talked about based on the visual fx bugs, but more changes are coming. So do be patient and keep an eye on this spot.

Update: We have been following the feedback and have decided to roll back all SR changes in a future build. Non sentinel SR players have higher survivability and did not really need more in that department. The choice to give them the toggle would have turned Practiced Brawler into a dead pick. To counter this, we opted to give it still the conditional absorb bonus to at least make that power have some reason to be a viable choice over the toggle version. Given how this is not really adding enough benefit and causing so much stir, the change is simply going to be rolled back. It is not considered worth risking giving SR even more survivability given the reaction is this controversial. In the one other hand, Sentinel payers are finding them too disruptive. Their version of SR is not as strong as other versions, due to a combination of lower HP modifiers and power selections, but due to the modifier changes in test we will likely still be keeping a close eye to see if anything might need further tweaking.

page 3 [OPEN BETA] Patch Notes for December 5th, 2025
Captain Powerhouse replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Patch Notes
You are taking the reply out of context and dismissing other points made. This reply was precisely to someone comparing B against C and explaining precisely that is not an objective comparison to make. Branching is not being done to make two things that have the same primary impact, but to have two distinct results with, ideally, very noticeable plus and cons. In the case of this power, it was intended to offer lower health sustain but stronger debuff resistance and endurance management. I did not make such statement. I said no power would be replaced. This does not mean more than what was literally stated. Should be additive but we have experienced some oddities in how the chance mods work in game (most notoriously, negative chance mods seem to be overridden instead of added by positive ones for some reason) so please test and see if there if you find any discrepancy of it only applying the strongest of the two. -
Lightning Clap only procs on its main target and procs using single target rates. Chain Induction is a chain and takes melee aoe sets, it will use standard chain proc rates. If you have a legacy build with Melee procs in the power, these procs are hard-set to ST and always proc at single target rates. You wont be able to replace them on a respec, but until that point they will continue to proc at ST rate on the primary target only. Any other proc currently slotted on the power will proc based on the chain rules, and be able to proc on any target. No powers will be replaced in the Stalker version of the set.

Crashing T9 power changes - Rollback?
Captain Powerhouse replied to Troo's topic in Open Beta Testing
It has nothing to do with PvP, and it is not any player's (or group of player's) fault. This decision was made based on a combination of community and dev team conversations. -
page 3 [OPEN BETA] Patch Notes for December 5th, 2025
Captain Powerhouse replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Patch Notes
I am not saying the power is staying in its current iteration, nor am I saying it won't, but on this point: how many of those recovery powers also grant about 500% regen with 3 SOs? You can't just compare a power that has the healing potency of Reconstruction (up to 50% heal with 3 SOs), can grant up to 500% regen, +ToHit res, and -regen resist and then say it's terrible because it's weaker than a power that takes a power pick and does just that even if that power is a passive. I'm ok with criticism and negative feedback, but lets be a bit more objective about these things. -

It should not be fluctuating by level, it should be a fixed value across all levels. If its scaling by level that is a legacy bug. We are not planning to be going live soon. -
page 3 [FOCUSED FEEDBACK] Bio Armor Adjustments
Captain Powerhouse replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
It was not, or at least was not intended to. The goal of that change is you can opt to go for full regeneration if in Efficient adaptation, full heal in defensive, and the regular living/corpse mode if in neither. This was meant to give players more control but I have zero issues rolling that back. -

Note on the Crashing T9 power changes: We have decided to roll these changes back. At least at this point there are no plans to revisit them in the future. That of course might always be subject to change. Due to the holiday break, not sure when the rollback will be hitting the open beta server, so if anyone still wants to play around with the current versions for any reason you might have a few days to do so. We are and will continue to monitor feedback through these threads for other changes and address fixes and/or iterate as we can. Do note nothing is considered final until it reaches release candidate status. -

While here I noticed some feedback on practiced/master brawer I want to touch on: First off, we are trying to keep the active/click as the power that adds more benefits by virtue of requiring monitoring and timing. Master Brawler being a toggle is enough in my opinion for it to not need an additional edge over Practiced Brawler. SR is still a VERY strong set though, so we don't want to make the absorb on this new click too strong. On existing sentinels: I intentionally looked into preserving builds as much as possible and ran with the assumption that people picking master brawler did so more for the toggle-based mez prot than the absorb. I can see how that can result in a more disruptive change due to enhancements. If you feel these existing sentinels should instead have their master brawler converted to the click Practiced Brawler so their build faces less disruption, that can be done. With the caveat though, that these builds will now rely on the click for mez protection. If enough players consider either too disruptive, there is always the possibility of rolling back the changes be it for further consideration or scrapping the changes.

Note on the Crashing T9 power changes: We have decided to roll these changes back. At least at this point there are no plans to revisit them in the future. That of course might always be subject to change. This applies exclusively to the crashing T9 changes, so specifically: Energy Aura > Overload Invulnerability > Unstoppable Ninjitsu > Kuji-In Retsu Radiation Armor > Meltdown Shield Defense > One With the Shield Super Reflexes > Elude Willpower > Strength of Will Due to the holiday break, not sure when the rollback will be hitting the open beta server, so if anyone still wants to play around with the current versions for any reason you might have a few days to do so. Other changes to any of the sets those powers are in will likely continue testing and iterating and we will continue to gather feedback. Defenders are in an odd position because their melee damage modifiers are noticeably lower than their ranged ones. No promises but we might look into that in the future. This particular change was exclusively focused on removing the epic/pool/mastermind "endurance tax" though. We can only look at so many things at once. -

Missed adding that to the notes but that is right now in place. You should be able to slot end mod sets and enhancements. -
