Back on live, my Bots/Dark MM was my favorite to play and I've been leveling one up again (just hit 33). I'm not great at doing builds but would appreciate if folks could offer advice on this one I've put together.

 

Part of my really wanted to go with the Fire epic for bonfire and fireball mixed with Tar Patch but I was trying to get my defense up a bit.

 

As always, suggestions/ideas greatly appreciated!

Good choice! I loved my Pets/Dark MM on live, I think it's one of very few sets that heals in that way!

Since I'm going to be grouping and doing incarnate stuff with this toon, maybe the defense is a little less important as hopefully I'm at the edge of things while my team is in the heart keeping the danger focused on them....hmmmmm.

I was thinking something more like this since power boost doesn't feel as necessary with dark as some of the other secondaries.

I always thought that power boost worked best with clickable buffs, which dark doesn’t have a lot of. I went with ghost Widow patron powers on my thugs/dark because of theme and for a second hold. It was also nice having s/l resist maxed out. I couldn’t tell by looking what your defense totals were, so scorpion shield might be a better choice for you, and I believe that has a hold as well.
