Rathexeron Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 Hi all, I created a farmer brute over the weekend and I'm trying to perfect his build but I'm a little unsure about the value of Fiery embrace for a staff/fire build. Since it doesn't give a straight up damage buff, I'm not seeing the impact of it and actually find most things die pretty quick already and the recharge seems a little too long for my taste so considering dropping it from my build. Any thought/advice on its synergy would be greatly appreciated!
HelenCarnate Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 (edited) It adds fire damage to all your attacks so it will increase your damage even if you are at the damage cap. And while it does have a long recharge it also lasts longer than build up. Edited December 2, 2019 by HelenCarnate

Rathulfr Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 (edited) What I've noticed is that all of my other powers, including some that don't usually do damage, have a note at the bottom of the Detailed Info tab that reads: X.YZ fire damage on target Only using Fiery Embrace (edit) Here's a screenshot that shows an example: Edited December 3, 2019 by Rathulfr Updated text and added screenshot. @Rathstar Energy/Energy Blaster (50+3) on Everlasting Energy/Temporal Blaster (50+3) on Excelsior Energy/Willpower Sentinel (50+3) on Indomitable Energy/Energy Sentinel (50+1) on Torchbearer
HelenCarnate Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 Rathulfr is correct. You have to look at each individual attack to see how they are affected by FE. Most are around 45% base damage added but some are higher and some are less. I believe you can also click FE active in Mids and it shows the extra fire damage as well.
