However he's a level 50 and if he hits a level 1 villain with his most powerful attack chain, the villain looks at him with disdain and turns back and continues pulling the woman's purse from her. Unfortunately, while Elec melee is one of the coolest looking and feeling sets on any AT its IMO a but underpowered on tanks, and a bit slow feeling. The synergy just isn't there for that AT. There's only 3 things you can do to try to alleviate this. 1. Incarnate: get Musclature alpha and assault hybrid to boost damage. And ageless radial to boost recharge. 2. Get every + damage set bonus and every damage proc you can get your hands on. 3. Get every +recharge set bonus and proc you can get your hands on. At the end of the day if your survival is still good and, your main job as a tank is to survive and keep the team alive so consider it a job well done either way if you have done that. BU-LR-PSink-CI = primary target has no endurance. BU + LR on ~25 second cycle. ST chain = CI-CB-JL-CB, so it actually does AoE, too. Even more if the test-buffs on cone AoE go live finally, plus the damage increase in general. PSink cures your endurance issues and adds mitigation. Non-AV targets get to attack as they recover End, but they'll just keep using their smallest attacks. Or is there method in your apparent madness ? You're right - that's a max-survival, max-recharge, super expensive sapper build. So instead of doing damage it tries to prevent the enemy from attacking. The was CoH balances is that attacks trade damage for a secondary effect. Electric Melee trades damage for sapping endurance (and giving it to you sometimes), Ice trades damage for slows, etc. Only Fire is straight up damage with a side effect of more damage. So with electric melee you can either frankenslot to get Acc/Dam started then put in a bunch of damage procs, or get a bunch of recharge so Lightning Rod, Chain Induction, and Thunder Strike come up as frequently as possible. The trick is to accept what you wound up with or re-roll into something that fits what you want to play. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So, short of going for a Proc build, which you could do, but I am not much help with, then the object should be to use your best DPA attacks as often as possible. Best Single Target DPA: 1. Chain Induction 2. Lightning Rod 3. Jacob's Ladder 4. Charged Brawl Best AoE DPA: 1. Lightning Rod 2. Chain Induction 3. Jacob's Ladder So, the aim of the build I made was to max the use of those best DPA attacks. LR obviously can't be used too often, but getting it down from 90 seconds to under 25 seconds means you can Alpha strike with it every spawn. The attack chain works for both AoE and ST from there, maximizing CI usage (best ST and AoE DPA [other than LR]). I'm sure it could be optimized more, but that is going to be very close to maxed out. Now, it is very likely a Proc build could sacrifice some defense for more offense. Maybe someone good at that will post one as an alternative. Build 1 averaged 8 mins to complete Build 2 averaged 13 mins to complete Build 3 averaged 15 mins to complete. All 3 were very solid and could have gone afk with no issues. However build 1 for some reason gave me knockback instead of knockup/down. Very strange.
