X-Com Style End of Mission Photos/Cinematics

I can't tell you how much I wish every Task Force began with a cinematic or photo showing the actual team running the Task Force. Even just a shot of everyone on the plane, looking over a horizon, etc.

The existing Task Forces and missions tend to contain cinematics of NPCs. Which is fine, but has always given me the impression that the NPCs are more important than the player characters.

This obviously isn't a feature that's easy to include in existing content. But, if new content is made, and that content includes cutscenes, please consider showing visuals of the players who are running it.

With love from x-Com.

This would be awesome! Had a lot of fun with that feature in XCOM. Even if we got lil comic style load/end screens, like the SigArcs, that would be cool.

There are a few missions (Posi1 and Morty Kal) that snap to in game cutscenes of teh players/baddies, which would be a lot easier (i assume) than a big posing system kinda thing!

That's what I'm thinking. We have the tech to clone character's costumes on a dummy mob. That could be used as the model for the cut scene.

Ah, but the most important question:  How do we choose which pose our character strikes during this post-victory screenie-bait?

Probably, you don't. I mean it would be cool if you could. But it's not a deal breaker for me if we can't.

One example currently in game is the cut scene for Summer Blockbuster, which shows the team leader entering the arena. It's a very short scene but I've always liked it and wished there were more shots of team members.

Super deal-breaker for me, though.  City's strength has always laid in giving players agency to express their characters in personal ways.  Any time it fails to live up to that is something to fix, as far as I'm concerned.

I like this idea of a post-victory pose, but I'd say it would need to be optional for players, at the very least.

You know, I really like the idea of grabbing a few good screenshots of a battle sometime during the TF, and linking them to the team at the end before everyone quits.  It seems like a classy thing to do as a member or leader of a TF.  It might take some practice of getting good shots where it doesn't seem to all about your toon being center focused on the screen.

Active on Excelsior:

Prismatic Monkey - Seismic / Martial Blaster, Shadow Dragon Monkey - Staff / Dark Brute, Murder Robot Monkey - Arachnos Night Widow

Would be neat if each member got a short solo scene where they do a selected animation or scene from a list as their name flashes across the screen, a la anime intro or something out of an Oceans movie.

Imagine intro'ing a group of villains and having one guy pick the "standing on a pile of dead Longbow", another pick the "opening a portal to countless eldritch horrors" but YOU pick the "snatch candy from baby in carriage" one.

Oh, and only 1 person can pick each animation.  It's like a gameshow and first to pick gets it.
