Ignore list question

How do you ignore someones character, without ignoring their entire account/@handle?

 

Situation:  Really cool person on my server, i join their groups, they join mine, see them very often.  But recently on one character they took up spamming all the chats all the time for a supergroup

and another person constantly does the same thing about costume contests, all chats really hard, very often.

I thought it was /gignore @<globalname> for total blockage and just /ignore <charactername> to ignore a single character on an acct.

Nope, /ignore <character name> also ignores the @handle

If you like them, and they are cool... Perhaps ask them politely in a humorous way to tone it down?
