I'm absolutely terrible at making MM builds and can't seem to find a build already premade for this set up. Is it just a bad combo or could I make it work. I really got attached to the thematics behind the character but I find myself in desperate need of a respec. Can anyone help me out here. I don't mind dropping some powers but would like to keep burst, m30, and bonfire. I also don't feel the need to have travel powers and run the sprint/ninja run combo.

While I don't have a build handy - I do have this combination at 44 at the moment. It is a drag. Either I built it wrong, or it just isn't any fun. I find the mercs squishy even with the heals and shields. If I weren't so invested in the theme, I would give it up I think.

 

I wouldn't follow my build anyway, since it is built for theme. I just wanted to provide a heads up that I have found the character to be a chore to deal with.

Unfortunately this build for me is currently thugs thermal and I don't enjoy that any more than Mercs could be. The thugs are too hard to keep track of and keep healed up.

 

I would still like to try the combo if I could find a build for myself. As Mercs don't move around so much

This is what I'm using for my Merc/Thermal. I'm still low level so this is not tested yet. The idea is to have capped ranged defense and use the knockdown to keep mobs away from me and my pets. I had a hard time capping ranged defense, and I'm pretty new to using Mids.

Can always drop super speed for thaw or serum if you want.

 

Also if you drop Bonfire pick up Temporary Invulnerablility and move a slot out of tough you can 6 slot Temporary Invulnerablility with Gladiators Armor and have capped S&L resists.
