Carnifax Posted April 8, 2020 Share Posted April 8, 2020 Hi folks Continuing my journey of "One of every AT to 50 and IOed out" my Savage / Shield Stalker is done and amazing so I thought it was time to try a Tank. Since I don't like repeating sets and I thought a crime fighting Sea Urchin was a good idea I settled on Bio / Spines. Bio is confusing me. Seems to be incredibly tight for power choices and hence opportunities for LOTGs. I've tried to proc up some attacks and keep others for set bonuses. Finally this is a levelling "as I head for 50 build" so no purples, superiors ATOs or the Winters sets (they're too expensive). But any help / explanations would be appreciated. NEW DAWN Posted April 8, 2020 Share Posted April 8, 2020 The acc/rechg in taunt could be taunt/range, no need for acc in pve. I would personally run with it as it would tank but for the level of accuracy in your attacks, getting that up to 150% ish maybe awkward or hardwork but that's kind of where I'd want them to be. Some players make their characters all about them, if it doesn't help them, they don't want it, their build advice to you will ofcourse be about making your character the best thing that helps them too if they ever team with you, because it's always about them. Heraclea Posted April 8, 2020 Share Posted April 8, 2020 You aren't going to need a recharge uber alles in Bio/Spines. I didn't even bother with Hasten on mine. What you will want to do is to slot up Quills and Genetic Contamination. These are the reasons why you don't need all that recharge. The recharge won't make them pulse any faster. With those on, and you being a tanker, all you gotta do is stand there and mobs die. This is your bread and butter. Slotting priorities are accuracy, damage, endurance. This is what my build looks like. It is in part a proc based build; with procs I believe in consistency, so the specific event I want to happen often is putting recharge slow on the enemies. Just as a comparison, here is my Bio/Spines build, it caps E/N/F/C defenses and give s a touch more S/L resist at the expense of non-S/L resist.
