Hey guys,

So after my earlier question about running no toggles I tried to make a build.

But I just couldn't figure out a way to make it the way my twin is wanting.

So I followed my normal format for builds and tried to make it the best I could.

 

I already respec'd to this build so will be testing it out this week.

Im thinking it'll be good for now as I don't have a lot of money to put in full sets of purples or the other expensive ones.

 

My goal for this toon is to be able to duo or team with others successfully. NOT to be a top of the line blaster to make others jealous lol.

Is there a reason you a trying to make a defensive build for a blaster? Some defenses are obviously nice, but damage is king on Homecoming. Maximizing damage should be your number one priority, especially since I read that you're running at +1/+2. Grab some purples/oranges inspirations and you should be fine.

All of my Blaster builds try to soft-cap Ranged and Smashing/Lethal.  I don't sacrifice much doing so, either.  Mez mitigation is often one of the reasons I try to maximize defense: you can't get mezzed if the mez can't land in the first place.

 

Yes, I know that what's dead can't mez you, either; however, we can't always kill everything immediately, no matter how good our damage gets.  Inevitably, something's going to survive long enough to attempt an attack, so why not try to mitigate?

I go for S/L softcap.

 

Then ranged/energy in the 30s hopefully.

 

I also use Tough and the two+resist IOs

 

With people running Maneuvers all over the place, this seems to work fine.

 

I have a level 50 fire/martial I leveled on Pugs only with no debt badges.
