Good day,

 

I am slowly working on a scrapper that is Kat/regen, and I am looking for some guidance. I feel like my build is a bit hodge-podge. I am trying to plan out what I will need and it always seems off.

 

I am trying to get Capped S/L and possible perma-haste with Incarnate buffs, but it never seems to come through fully. Am I missing something for this? I do not have much expierence with scrappers in general; and the last regen I did was a stalker on live. Any assistance would be welcomed.

i understand there's an old mantra of "RECHARGE!" for Regen, and i get why.  but with enough Def, you can sacrifice a good 40% in +Rech bonuses from your particular build & still come out ahead.  mine is 18sec off perma-Haste, but the Melee & S/L softcaps take away a lot of the pressure on standing-regen & timed-click heals/regen. makes the char incredibly more durable in late-game content.  

so i'd start by looking to swap slots/sets away from +Rech and into +Def.  look at Unbreakable, Rectified, Blessing, Avalanche, Kin.Combat, Win.Bite.  maybe split the Scrap.Strike if you feel you have to (i didn't).  neglect standing-regen from F.Healing. 

...don't give-up!  it can be done, even w/o Incarnates, and it's such an amazing char to play :

I did some tweaking, and with was able to cap S/L. Range is low but I feel I can handle that with some okay resistance.

Worked on this again, and I feel this is a bit better overall. I have a small drop in Range Def, but am over the S/L Def cap without Incarnates, so I am able to get perma-haste with incarnate buffs now. Also better resistances totals, I feel like this is what I will be going on once we scratch up some more cash.

I have a Kat/Regen that I played for a while.  I tried to dump as much DEF into it as I could but wound up deleting the toon.  Regen just isn't what it used to be and it's so lacking compared to other sets now.  Hope you have more luck with it man.
