I've been a lifelong tank mainly but also leaned heavily on melee scrapper, brute, stalker also.

 

Ive made it a point to master each AT to my play style which is usually pretty aggressive.

 

I've mastered Tankers, Scrappers, brutes, sentinels, blasters, and corrupters.

 

Control types always eluded me until I 2 months ago stumbled on Elec/Storm and followed that up with a Earth/Cold, Fire/Storm, and even retooled my Fire/Rad and Grav/Time to work pretty good once i got the hang of the builds.

 

Dominators are even more tricky and hats off to you guys that make them so OP because I haven't figured it out yet on mids to get the right balance of recharge for perma Dom and defense to survive.

 

I'm looking to make an Elec/Martial and currently have it coming in at 45 defense to ranged an AOE and around 29 to melee - and roughly 40 on typed in most areas.

 

I'm also relying on force feedback in two secondary cone and AOE attacks for recharge.

 

Anyway, this is the starter build im working on, and if its complete garbage feel free to say so, lol. I'm looking for honest feedback and direction.

Here's a capped All defenses except Psionic, which is capped with Indomitable Up - including 75% resist smashing lethal - WHEN support is up. You know, if you want to keep down this path of being a Tank.

 

Do I think it's a good build? No, I think it's giving too much of everything to be at all the caps (and IMO you want trick shot but to each his own). I do think it would work out fine though because of how electricity works. 

 

However, You can get away with being capped in Ranged/S/L for example and be tanky enough but have enough recharge to have more total defense via more lockdown. I can throw together that type of build if you want....  That being said, Perma Dom is not required for Electricity.

yeah, like i said they work completely differently from normal targets on other ATs ,this is exactly the feedback i was looking for.

 

A few more questions, would anything be better than nerve? im pretty much stuck with ageless because i dont like worrying about endurance and slotting for it on similar controllers, unless i am wrong on that line of thinking for domis also.

 

If you swapped something to add in trick shot what would you give up and why?

 

And also many thanks for the response.  For such a potentially expensive build i want to get pretty close to final the first shot.

Well, when you perma dom (if that's the goal) you get a full end bar everytime it goes off... that being said, I tend to do ageless too cuz I spam.... 

 

I would pick what you want defense wise and go for that first. You can pick s/l + ranged, or just ranged, or melee etc. Pick your priority, and we can make a build :).

 

Your priority should also say damage - because a dom should be doing more damage 😄

My instinct from my trollers says to go for aoe and ranged, but something tells me thats not right for this and i should go more melee.    Damage is also good for sure, i am kinda trying to go for Scraptroller with this one and its modeled after Raiden from Mortal Combat.

Here's a Ranged.  You could move the slots from Shuriken to Weave and get similar defense with red fortunata

both are Perma Hasten/Dom.

 

With Soul Drain @ 5 and a bu proc from tactics you'll hit for 1k on snipe + envenomed. 

Jolting will be some great damage aoe totally spammable while knocking down the whole time. Endurance should be helped by dark consumption - which is also an aoe nuke with Soul Drain

This is a build for a permadom WITHOUT Hasten.

Yeah, I sacrifice a bit for permadom, but with mind you have so much stacking control that unless you are soloing AV's constantly you will never miss it.

Power up makes for some brutal holds, with some, like mass confusion, lasting for over 2 minutes! I don't even use the 'weird' controls, I just have them arranged on the bar with the aoe and the single target version right in front of it.

It is...a little harder to use specifically against Psychi AV's, but anything less abd you are sorta golden.
