Earth/Storm/Stone My first attempt

Glubba

Recommended Posts

So, gonna preface everything with...I know next to nothing about mids. I've also never made put a build on the forums before. I have canablized some stuff from other things I've seen but I couldn't find an Earth/Storm/Stone proc monster so I made an attempt.

I'm sure there's plenty wrong with it, but if someone with more expertise and knowledge than I could take a look, I'd appreciate it.  I ended up having difficulty choosing powers. Some are probably in there unnecessarily and I'm sure it'll be pointed out to me.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice given!

Here's a few points I see:

According to my previous inquiries about slotting a /Storm controller, Tornado doesn't take procs especially well so it is better to just slot it for Enhanced Damage for a better experience. Also you should add a KB > KD IO to it because it will fling everything away and end up not doing any damage at all. On my build, Mids gives my Tornado a 836 damage value with no procs at all and on yours it gives a value of 429 Damage.
Same thing with Lightning Storm here except it doesn't need the Sudden Acceleration. Mine reads as 86 with no procs while on your build it reads as 55 damage.

Not only less damage for these 2 skills but you are losing out on good set bonuses to help you survive better.

Change the slot in Super Jump for a Blessing of the Zephyr Knockback protection to hit that magic mag 8 KB res which will protect you from a large chunk of KB effects that various bosses will throw at you

You should seriously consider getting Freezing Rain, it is a -30% Def and -30% res debuff which is very powerful not only for you but for the whole team. I would get rid of Victory Rush to fit this in.

Here is what my Earth/Storm looks like if you want to take inspiration from it. It's not a /Stone Mastery build as I went with Psionic because I wanted to stay back more but the info for the main specs should be the same

All in all Earth/Storm is a super fun build to play that has copious amounts of CC and still manages to get some damage in

Wow, those are definitely some big damage number differences. Psi was another epic I was looking at and I still have some time until my epic pool so I’m gonna take another look.

Thank you for the advice, I didn’t hear much about freezing rain and I had it in my build originally so I’ll probably just put it back.

All in all I appreciate the response! I’m thinking maybe I went a little too ham on the procs lol. I’m glad to try to find a way to fit more set bonuses in.

Yep don't skip Freezing Rain.  And procs don't work well in it either.  Also don't bother enhancing the damage most of those damage tics you see in game, all those 1's, are rounded up from the actual.  First and foremost it's about the recharge to enable getting it out vs every mob and with it the debuffs particularly the -resist.

The other thing you want to ensure is that you can hit your foe.  Going heavy on procs can frequently mean the power is light on slotted enhancement for accuracy.  If you don't hit you won't do any damage proc or otherwise.  Unfortunately I can't currently access or use Mids', my only internet is by phone.  Adding a Kismet +6% would help.  Global +accuracy via sets is another way to get your final to hit up while heavy into procs.  How much all of Earth's defense debuff will help depends a lot on what you typically fight ... the Purple Patch can hurt vs up level.  It's a good example of the importance of getting Freezing Rain out for every mob.  Stacking FR and QS is a great way to help ensure the following powers do hit (and further the defdebuffs)
