Am I doing something wrong, misunderstanding something, or is the slotting in the saved build broken? When I load it up in mids, I see slots in powers you don't have yet e.g Level 3 and 5 slots going into White Dwarf Smite (which you don't get until 20), L15 slot in Incandescent Strike (picked at 18) and so on.

Obviously it would work fine if you were already overlevelled and respeccing, but it doesn't work for levelling up as you play.

I didn't create this build as a leveling build, but it is formatted to work exemplared.

I honestly couldn't say how it would work while leveling as that was never a priority for the build and I tend to PL my toons straight to 50.

Back on live I leveled toons by play through and could never afford the high end builds. Now playing high end builds feels new and fun.

Yep I totally get it, I do the same thing for most of my builds, but there are just a few I like to play through the level-up process, I thought it might be fun to try it with the PB and your build looked like a blast. No sweat, I'll figure something else out for levelling and come back to this build at 50.

Updated build to include Glowing Touch.

Coming back to PB forums and skimming through I saw comments about PB builds not included Glowing Touch. I've always loved the idea of spot healing on my PB. So here it is.

With little penalty I gave up 1 LoTG and 1 - 6% psi resist.

The LoTG loss is essentially covered by the 4 +rch procs in the build. And the -6% psi is covered with Cosmic Balance: "...your Damage Resistance will increase for each nearby Scrapper, Brute, Stalker or Blaster teammate..."

Excited to be back around on the Peacebomber

Finally, the Peacebomber can solo Arachnos, and Carnies:

Now build #1 in OP, "Psi Resist Build"

Packed in as much Psi Resist and as close to 50% status resist as possible coming in at 45.69% while keeping ranged defense goals of 45% with barrier & unleashed potential this build has proven to be my first Peacebomber that is effectively soloing Arachnos, and Carnies without inspirations. I've ran handfuls of missions of each mob type and I'm still in awe. Moments can prove difficult - have to outplay some npc by keeping range which isn't hard with so many ranged attacks. Much Much Fun

Updated OP Post Builds to include level 45+ Psi Resist Build (fixed wrong enhancement), and freshly recreated Exempt Build.

Exempt Build:

Spoiler

#2 Exempt Build

x Perma Hasten

x Great on Endurance Bar

x Great AoE

x Nova and Dwarf attacks enhanced well for low level play (can move slots from nova bolt to glinting eye - I prefer bolt animaton)

x All essential defensive/buff skills are over slotted for lower level play (enhancement values reduced)

x Great for 50+ play as well - although not as sturdy due to lower defensive values compared to the above "PsI Resist Build"

x At level 36: 63.75% Psi Resist Human / 58.75% Nova&Dwarf Forms

   At level 20: 55% Psi resist Human Form/ 50% Nova&Dwarf Forms

Psi Resist + Ranged Defense Build:

Spoiler

Able to solo Arachnos, and Carnies without inspirations by using barrier, Unleash Potential, and keeping at range whenever possible

Arachnos Mu, & Carnies that debuff can make things difficult - keep range and targets knocked down/back

Can use Hybrid: Control Radial Embodiment to add extra defensive layer through soft control and higher status resist

x With barriers 5% resist - Psi resist in nova & dwarf forms is 66%, and 71% in human + reactive scaling resist.

x Has a base 22.9% ranged defense.  45% ranged in all forms when using barrier 5% defense and Unleash Potential at 17.5%.

xstatus duration reduced to 49.69% to more quickly drop stacked status effects //

status duration reduced to 41.45% with Hybrid: Control Radial Embodiment

x Can use Destiny: Ageless for non Arachnos, and Carnies for a smoother endurance bar.  otherwise:

Alternate between Unleash Potential, and Conserve Energy to Manage Endurance Bar

Updated Intro

Spoiler

Tell me a little...

What to expect when first playing a Peacebringer?

In the beginning, a soft squid blaster with little utility (that changes with IOs and Lightform), that moves into a clunky lobster tank, that soon grows into a Light God - Lightform at level 32. Not to say you cannot rain down heaven without Lightform, especially while teaming. What’s so special about Peacebringers? The ability to use all 3 Nova, Dwarf, and Human form allows for a versatile experience team by team. The forms can be used in 2 ways Independently and/or Chained. To paint the scenery, a glimpse into a Peacebomber – Peacebringer’s mind. As I see it there are two types of Peacebringers out there the “Buff and Shift”, and the “Chainer”. Which are you? If you use human buffs and proceed to attack using only a single forms attack rotation without the use of quick form shifting macros, I’m calling this a Buff and Shift. If you use macros/keybinds for quick shapeshifting between attacks (even at times during a single form’s attack chain) you’re what I’m calling a Chainer. Its not fool hearty to practice both play styles but you’ll notice by watching Peacebringers in action that one method is favored over the other (not intended for said method to abbreviate as “BS” it was handed over by fate. Joking aside nothing wrong with the BS method).

What’s in the pudding: Lightform, Bright Nova, and White Dwarf

AoE wreckage, and maxed resists to boot. At level 4, by choosing Bright Nova form you’re granted a targeted AoE, a Cone, and 2 single target (ST) blasts – 3 if you choose Glinting Eye. Nova form also supplies inherent buffs 15% recovery rate, 9% to-hit, 45% damage, and 15% resistance to energy/negative. As a PB you can’t excel by using just one form as your level increases and the going gets tough. Introduced at level 20 White Dwarf form becomes available, granting 2 ST melee attacks, a playerbound (pb)AoE, a heal, taunt, and a teleport. Dwarf brings in high resists to all but psionic (cover psi later on), increased HP pool, and mez protection; it can easily be slotted to achieve 50% resists through basic IOs. While the alien forms are amusingly fun they don’t preclude from the power of Human form and its 2 heals, endurance management through conserve energy, quantum flight (phase shift), self rez, and a one click ultra buff as Lightform. Lightform (Human form) is a usable click buff that will max all resists except psi when slotted, and 3.1 mez protection (small protection but helpful) and huge knockback/down protection. The Peacebringer retains the ability to shift between Nova, and Dwarf while LF is active. This makes for an extremely defensive blaster play style with Nova. Not much change to dwarf except now with LF you’re free to start form switching in safety. Lightform utilizes human attacks which I’ve gleefully pounded away at over the years, but they are not essential to make the Peacebringer shine.

How to maximize your alien lumens?

Most urgently, build for perma Lightform. Followed by filling the psionic resist hole. Easily achievable by slotting unique IO’s in resist powers that are often selected solely to mule. After that almost anything goes. The exception? You might have to get more specific in your build when seeking to solo Arachnos, and Carnies at +4/8 difficulty without temp powers or a bunch of inspirations. Its been a semi current philosophy of the Peacebomber build to incorporate ranged defense. This is because many mez powers are ranged; ranged defense helps to mitigate the controls successfully hitting you. Between pool powers, IO’s, and incarnate abilities it is possible to temporarily achieve 45% ranged defense in all 3 forms, on top of the PBs astounding resists. … ranged defense is by no means a prerequisite to success as I’ll often play my exempt recharge based build in 50+ content when “Hard Mode” (relatively speaking) is turned off.

A peacebringer can’t use Nova and Dwarf to attack while blinded (unless buffed by outside source of +perception like Leadership: Tatics). Most often other AT’s toggle Tatics and are merrily on their way slaying. For Peacebringers to see through the blind debuff we slot 2 unique IOs rectified recticled into Nova +perc, and Warp +perc into Dwarfs’ teleport each providing 20% perception boost. Just teleport to clear the blind.

The nuance of Peacebringers

To inherently know Fly. To shapeshift of course of course. To be an extraterrestrial HP sponge while still popping AoEs and Nukes. Extra powers with Nova & Dwarf for more IO build options. To be a pocket healer with the selection of Glowing Touch. And to get list-y about it:

NSomething to write home about

  1. Capped Resist to all except Psi (can fill psi hole with IOs)
  2. Can tank almost anything. Even Better than Tanks when their armor set's lowest resisted damage type is at play
  3. Cosmic Balance Inherent power makes for amazing team play buffing the PB for each teammate nearby
  4. Can be built to solo +4/x8
  5. Exempts well - complete attack chain with Nova Form at level 4 and pseudo tank at level 20 with Dwarf Form (level 15 exempt)
  6. Can Chain form powers for a smoother attack rotation or play forms independently
  7. Self contained - no toggles necessary, 3 heals, conserve energy, phase shift, and a self rez
  8. Attacks apply -Def Debuff making enemies easier to hit
  9. To Be an Alien is Fun

Now to show my Peacebomber "PP" Peacebringer

 TBC

Updated OP Post Builds to include level 45+ Psi Resist Build (fixed wrong enhancement), and freshly recreated Exempt Build.

Exempt Build:

  Reveal hidden contents

That's an interesting flex on an incarnate level PB, Harakh! Once again, let me thank you for maintaining these posts and sharing your builds over the years.

I must admit, I've never built a PB without Solar Flare! It's such a fast recharging, satisfying bit of extra damage and soft CC, particularly when used back to back with Dwarf Flare. If it were equal in damage to DF I'd feel less bad about only having that, but it does about 34% more damage. I know, I know, this is a ranged build, and you get DF for "free" so having one if you need it is better than none.

You could eke out a little more ranged def, at the expense of the 6% psi resist IO, by forgoing the smaller bonus from slotting 2x sets of Blessing of the Zephyrs, and instead 6 slotting Essence Boost with Numina's. You also gain that set's unique, some hit points and more global healing. You also gain a slot back, which you can put in Bright Nova Bolt and slot the last remaining Superior Essence Transfer ATO, to get 3% health from that 2 set. Just my opinion, but all that seems like a reasonable return for losing a little psi res.

Alternatively, if you're still attached to that Impervium Armor being there, Essence Boost is rather easily made perma with just 2 boosted heal/recharge IOs, still freeing that slot to migrate over to get the 2 set ATO bonus.

Lastly, it might be worth considering how valuable the self rez is. Having a fairly low recharge rez, plus untouchable time to rebuff and heal up, has always been a nice little extra in the Kheldian toolset. With how easy it is to keep email stocked with big rez inspirations, and the relative infrequency of needing the skill at all, I wonder if there isn't a more useful one-slot-wonder to consider. Nothing jumps out at me as a clear winner, so I'll just list a few to spark discusison:

  • Pulsar. Sure it's a universally skipped, slow animating, damage-less mag 3 stun, but has a 20 ft. radius, which is greater than all of our other aoe powers save Dawn Strike. A better looking choice if you go with Control Radial Hybrid option. Easily usable outside of melee range.
  • Solar Flare. Grab it as a quick, guaranteed way to proc Force Feedback. You can safely hover out of reach of melee to use it as well.
  • Photon Seekers. Throw the Soulbound Allegiance dam/rech/acc in there and throw these out for even more AoE damage whenver the mood strikes you.
  • Quantum Flight. Could be a clutch power to hit if you know something nasty is coming, or if you really, really want to skip through a bunch of enemies with impunity.
  • (The absorb proc from the rez could easily be moved to replace one of the dwarf heal's heal/rech IOs without losing anything substantial)

Anyhoo, those are my observations on the build. I haven't tried it yet but I am pretty tempted to try some incarnation of it out.

A couple reasons I didn't take solar flare this build. I was capitalizing on macro form switching (fast casting) more so than I ever have before and solar flare being human form interrupts that flow. And this:

3 posts down on page 1 I have saved many of the peacebomber builds and every single one has dual solar flare. "Been there done that" wanted to expand my horizons. I agree with everything you said about it tho. So if someone is playing and being a well mannered kheild and not quick macroing then 100%.

I hit the ranged defense number I needed in order to be at 45% with barriers 5% and unleash potential so I think the 6% psi to fill the hole is better suited for the build vs the extra ~1% ranged def. But the rest I don't know if my brain is cramping cause I'm having a hard time making sense of it. Essence Boost is currently 4 slotted if, I could move 1 slot from energy flight, and then most likely have to give up another psi resist IO for a total of 2 psi IOs gone, and no extra slots.

I might give up the 3rd slot in EB though. I was just squeezing that HP without much thought toward changing that for free a slot. Thanks for opening a window ^.^

I love self rez because I try to push my builds so deaths will happen and it normally fits in without any lose to performance or missing out on a gain.

Pulsar is a mag 2 stun with a 50% chance for +1 mag, total of 3. I think the PB gets more value by attacking and knocking down harder targets while shrugging off the damage of the minions you'd stun with pulsar.  Control hybrid can be amazing on PB without pulsar I will say that.

Solar flare (see above)

Photon seekers, slow a clunky and the dmg really isn't that great if this build is playing using macro attacks. However, I do have them on an alternative build not posted (the exempt build w/o TP pool). Them and Quantum Flight actually. Although I don't care for their damage I slot just the -kb IO. Seekers will become phased when you do with Quantum Flight. They can be summoned before or during QF. They will try to engage enemies when near and gain their attention. This means, at times with Malta Ill phase let the sappers and the rest of them attack me and the seekers and then unphase with the attention divided and a knockdown to get things started.

If I missed something feel free to highlight lol Otherwise much appreciation for the input again ^.^

Hey, thanks for the response. Great counterpoints all around, and of course at the end of the day, builds are very personal, with a lot of room for adaptation and personalization.

To just clarify what I did with the slot swapping, Energy Flight and Dwarf Step lose all their extra slots. Two go into Essence Boost to replace their IOs with 6 Numina's. The spare slot then goes in Nova Bolt for the 3% health bonus from Superior Essence Transfer. It's not that big a change, and still just one psi res lost, but it's probably what I'll do if I get around to a respec.

O yep there was my cramp lmao... that 3rd slot in dwarf step... forgot I did 3 slots there and they didn't catch my eye last night >.< !
You brought attention that the range in teleport should be Warp: +perception (apparently I fixed this and posted in OP but didnt save to my comp doh). And now that I just made your recommended switches in Mids I think Im gonna try  it out. Thank you for getting that through to me lolol Thank YOU 😁

After coming back to this build from the initial incarnation @Harakhand I chatted about on the first page and this latest one. I appreciate the additional heal, smoother rotation, and the choices of the exemplar build. Going from one to the other back to back, I vastly prefer the newer build.

I have plenty of other characters that can go hard at soloing 54+ content, but it is really really nice to have an all-rounder that works well with exemplaring. Between the Hybrid Widow and the exemplar PB, they are my favorites. Been doing different types of content lately across the levels and the ability to fill roles your team needs is amazing. At the very least with TP/stealth utility if you are completely outshined in DPS/tanking and some ranged DPS/spot healing for a chill time.

Sincere thank you for the updates after so long!

Cool, glad I was able to contribute!

Out of curiosity, can I ask what incarnate/hard mode content you like to run your PB in?

I haven't run much if more than just one attempt at the literal "Hard Mode" content. Rather I don't shy away from attempting what is challenging +4/x8 content on the Peacebringer; carnies, arachnos, longbow, incarnate content to a degree.

If I do get around to playing real HM I'll let you know how it goes.

Thank you for the post. This last Peacebomber build just plays better throughout all levels of content, I agree.

I've been enjoying a Night Widow build on my Fort my last few sessions. Solo's arachnos easier than any other Widow Files build (easier not faster). I believe the most current version is posted in the Widow Files if you get bored of hybrid.
