Fermi Posted October 29, 2020 Posted October 29, 2020 For those who use cel shading, which settings/options do you enable? The default settings seem to be a little off and before I start trying to find an optimum setting, I'd like to know what you use (screenshots are welcome too).
Blastit Posted October 29, 2020 Posted October 29, 2020 I use them like so so it's not so obviously cel-shaded, it just gives things a little more pop than the standard tho i haven't poked around a whole lot with them, admittedly, so maybe there's some tweak i would like more
Lines Posted October 29, 2020 Posted October 29, 2020 (edited) Here's how I ended up (screenshot is a little darker than the game): I didn't switch on cel shading itself, and transparency quanitization ended up taking too much away from the visuals to me. But the other options just give things a bit more life and style. I'd quite like to have suppress filters switched off, but I was getting pop-in of distant objects. Edited October 29, 2020 by Lines

Have you tried using a command like this? /vis_scale 5.0 I'm tinkering with cel shading and this helps a lot in minimizing distant object popping in.
Lines Posted October 29, 2020 Posted October 29, 2020 Gave it a shot, but still had the issue. If I take /vis_scale much higher I lose framerates. To demonstrate, the green mountain ahead pops in and out within a couple of metres between two screenshots when suppress filters is switched off: Spoiler
