FunstuffofDoom Posted January 14, 2021 Share Posted January 14, 2021 Hi, y'all! I got that bug to put together a theme build based on a character from a mobile game, you know, just to see if I could. I think Staff/Invuln is the right combo, but I'm not really familiar with either set, so I feel like I'm building things awkwardly. Also, I try to build things on the cheap, so, I recognize my numbers aren't going to be as sexy as they could be. I'm good with that. My general questions are: Do I need Body Mastery? Mu Mastery would be a lot more on-point, but I'm not sure I've got enough End Recovery, and, honestly, Zapp and Ball Lightning might be nice powers in the abstract, but I'm not sure they really add anything to this build, except something to do when a runner gets running. I also don't know that I really have the slots to spare that they need. Is there a way I can balance my resistance numbers a bit more neatly? I know I'm over on my S/L numbers, but I'm not sure how to up the rest of my numbers without losing a good chunk of defense, recharge, or both. What's my ideal chain, here? I was reading that I'd want Precise Strike -> Guarded -> Assassin's Staff -> Serpent's Reach, with maybe a Sky Splitter for flavor to off a boss, or something. Izzat about right? How worried should I be about Psionic damage? My positional defenses aren't super high, and my psi def/res is rock bottom. Anywho, here's the build. Thanks for taking a look! You get that in Unyielding. 2: You aren't really gaining anything with all that Defense overslotting 3: Unless you're going for Cross Punch, Kick >>> Punch. At least with Kick you can slot a Force Feedback proc. Looks like you at least started with something like my Invulnerability Framework. Staff doesn't have a no-redraw option and it drove me nuts on a Staff/NRG Brute. It's one reason I went Invul here too, not too many clickies. This is my latest char. At the moment I've two builds.
