BusyBea Posted January 23, 2021 Posted January 23, 2021 So I have this DM/SD scrapper and outside the obvious def vs damage, should I re-roll as a tanker? Pro/Cons of swapping archetypes? I am a tanker at heart but sometimes when soloing its soooo slow and hence why I rolled a scrapper for this set plus I feel shield lends itself more towards a scrapper. Yes? No? Thoughts? Thanks.
Perfect Weapon Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 I'd keep it as a scrapper. You've already listed the pro/cons of the def vs. damage, but outside of that criticals for scrappers are way better than what a tank has to offer on the opposite side. Plus with IO's, Incarnate, and Accolades you can pretty well tank anyway.
Infinitum Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 Just make a Dark Dark tanker instead - I promise you will love it. 2
Carnifax Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 I'd stick with Scrapper too. Combo will work really nicely. That gives you more alting options too when it comes to TFs or PuGs. Plus it's nice to be the "Im just here to kill things" guy if you aren't in the aggro control / protect the squishies mood. My level 50 builds [Bullitt Time : DP/Kin Corruptor] [Carnifax : Ill/Dark Controller] [Kerriae : Plant/Storm Controller] [Echinoderm : Bio/Spines Tank] [Iron Brew : Mace/Rad Brute] [Snookered : Staff/NRG Brute] [iScream : Ice/Ice Scrapper] [Binman : Savage/Shield Stalker] [Modul-8 : Time/Sonic Defender] [Concussion Blast : Fire/NRG Domi] [Orblivion : Dark/Martial Domi] [Mombie : Necro/Nature MM] [Tempore : Water/Time Blaster] [Thermodynamic Flux : Ice/Fire Blaster] [Carni's Online CombatLog Parser Alpha]
ninja surprise Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 Stick with Scrapper. DM is still primarily single target, and with crits, works better on a Scrapper. Def cap is the same for both ATs so the advantage goes to Scrappers for more damage or Tank for more HP.
