Gaduunka Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 Hello everyone! Excited to play the game, it just finished downloading for me. When I launch the game, I can only see the top left corner of the game window and everything else is out of view. This is preventing me from seeing the login box and settings box and I'm unable to click anything. How can I change my game resolution if I can't see anything? Thanks.
Andreah Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 I had this problem, and identified that it was the Windows 10 display scaling that was causing the problem. You find this by right-clicking the desktop and pick Display Settings from the pop-up menu. It is the "Scale and layout" listed there. If it's set to anything higher than 100%, you will see this issue in CoH when it's running at the full resolution of your screen. However, changing the display scaling may be worse than the original problem; for example, if you are on a 4K monitor, it will be hard to read for other programs, and inside CoH you will want to enable the window scaling you you can read and use the UI. The answer is to run CoH in windowed mode and set the CoH resolution to something smaller. There's a way to do this even if it starts up with the problem you have -- unfortunately I can't remember exactly how. Hopefully someone else will post, too.
goblinite Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 If you post a screen shot of what you see I'll try to post a walk through. I general you hit the options button, graphics, click windows mode. Sometimes you also need to do the following: Locate Score.exe Right click and select properties Compatibility tab Check Disable Fullscreen optimizations Click Apply Click OK Test If not solved go back to properties Compatibility tab Click Change high DPI settings Check both boxes Click OK Click Apply Click OK
Captain Fabulous Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Locate Score.exe The game now uses homecoming.exe, not score.exe
