Tailcoat Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 Is there a way to add running screaming people that can't be targeted?
cranebump Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 Nope. (I haven't seen it, at least) You can add wandering patrols, but they'll have an alignment, meaning they can be targeted by someone. Plus, you can't give a patrol a specific animation. All they do is walk (i.e. "patrol"). I have done a TON of AE work, both long form and single arc. Just search the AE mish list for my sig @cranebump. For more information on my stories, head to the AE forum sub-heading and look for “Crane’s World.” Support your AE authors! We ARE the new content.
Tailcoat Posted June 9, 2021 Author Posted June 9, 2021 The best I can figure is maybe make a captive with no enemies, so when you walk by, they run off (of course set the objective to non-essential) and I can make them shout something about a monster. Or I can add enemies and somehow find an animation that makes it look like they're just chatting. When the player "liberates" them, I can make the victim NPC do the cower animation.
Kyksie Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 (edited) Some maps have 'running screaming people' baked into the map. They can be targeted but not attacked. Edited June 9, 2021 by Kyksie

Kyksie Posted June 11, 2021 Posted June 11, 2021 I'm not sure. They're not specifically marked as such.
