/Elec or /EA?

So I have got my heart set on a Elec/<something>/elec sentinel, but struggling to pick the secondary.

 

Having played defence characters before I have a fair idea that I could build a /EA into a fair little end game char, but I keep having elec look at me funny, but how would you IO up a resist set? I have no idea.

 

What are people's experiences with both sets?

It's about the flavor, but for a Sentinel, I'd vote for EA.

With resist sets, you build to achieve a decent amount of defense, even though softcapping is usually out of reach without big compromises. 25% defense, on top of /Elec's resists and regeneration, will make you pretty durable. 32.5% puts you one small purple from the softcap.

 

With the i24 changes to resistance set bonuses, it probably wouldn't be very hard to cap your S/L resist at the same time.

Electric Armor. With a decent build, you can get high resistances to all damage types, including toxic. You won't be a tank, but you can eat damage and recover from it a lot better with strong heals and regeneration.
