Base Lighting - How can I make it darker in the base?

I have lowered the light level to black which did it some. I was hoping to make the base darker and add our own lighting where we wanted it. Anyway to make it even darker?

Color the walls a dark color. 

 

In select style mode, click on a section of wall.  A color palette should show in the object window (you may need to switch tabs in the window).  You should be able to apply your colors to room or base as desired.

 

Also note that certain styles of wall have darker shading than others.

Thanks. I will try that. Already using a darker brick so we will see if I can tone it down even more.
