Cryptic Studios Acquired by Gearbox

Gearbox (of Borderlands fame), just acquired both Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios.  They will take over Champions Online, Star Trek Online, and Neverwinter effective February.  You can read more about it here.

Probably not; the expense to keep it running is less than peanuts because it runs on the same server bank as STO.  Basically as long as STO turns a decent profit, CO is free.
