Here is a VERY AoE Centric Tank

 

AOE Tanker (Radiation Armor - Dark Melee).mbd

Martial Arts has 1 AoE, it's a PBAOE. The Dragon Tail sweep,  Dark Armor has PBAOE DoT Aura and if you put that one recipe set in Cloak of Fear, then it has chance to proc dmg also in a PBAOE asepect. 

 

If you want AoE Melee based Tank.  Electric Melee(has 3, Small Cone, AoE off Target and Placement AoE), Energy Melee(has 2, PBAOE & Cone)). Radiation Armor has PBAOE in it. Dark Melee has 4. 2 PBAOEs & a Smaller Cone.  and an AoE off target.  Radiation Melee has Small Cone and AOE off Target.  Dual Blades has PBAOE(finisher) and 2 Cones. 

 

These are examples. You REALLY should look over these powers in Mids and research. 

Thanks for the input; I was just going off the build that I had on mids; for the dark/ma and saw that they took dragon as soon as it was available at 20 and then dark embrace at 28 (the pbaoe dot you mentioned)

FYI you can build Dark/MA to have a fair amount of AoE if you want. Some damage procs in Dark Regeneration, as well as damage procs and a Force Feedback +Rech proc in Dragon's Tail to get both AoE's and ones from your Epic Power Pool (like procced Fireball) back up and recharged quickly.

Ideally I would like the Teleport pool in there for Combat TP (Combat TP > Poison Trap > Flash, etc.)

Yes. It's still works just fine in 2025.  But if you are wanting some more specific you can ask for it. Maybe you want more Resist based, since your Electric Dome gives you Status Protection, then again you could forget to put it up also 😛

You've given some great advice in other posts when people are looking at certain power sets in certain AT's. Which AT do you think Assault Rifle shines the most in?

Corrupter & Sentinel.  Cuz the Debuffing/Buffing from Corrupter will help offset any redraw and thus making Scourge more worth while on a set's DPS is one top two most dmg resisted by mobs.

 

Sentinel, cuz you really won't deal with the Redraw cuz of secondary being Armor (Depending on the armor).

FYI, from i27p6

 

"Weapon powers now play a draw animation the first time you use a weapon after your character is has been in an idle / non-combat animation. With typical mission pacing, this should mean each weapon will only play its draw animation the first time you use it in combat on a mission map, unless you idle somewhere on the map for long enough for your character to return to the idle state."

 

So don't worry about redraw, its a non-issue. Assault Rifle/Tactical Arrow is a really strong all ranged blaster option that is quite popular if you wanted to play a pure damage role.

So upper right corner is search.  So what you can do is type in some keywords like for example: Fire Blast - Cold Domination

 

Then you look for posts with both those in it in same line.
