Must have been a GM that removed your comment then. The one you posted in response to my build, which I cannot see in this thread anymore. Where you raised a number of points in a numbered format. Anyway its whatever, if it wasn't you that deleted that then sorry if you felt I am making accusations. That is not the case. 

 

I am also not "starting issues" as you put it. Again, as I said to you, disagreement is not personal attack. There is no personal attack in my post. In fact, the only reference to you at all is below:

This is not any reference of you personally, it is clearly a reference to the build you posted. This game allows for a multitude of ways to kit out your characters both in pool/epic/slotting choices. So me highlighting that and then offering an alternate view and providing explanations on my viewpoint is how discourse works. 

 

Put out your view point, explain your view point. If people agree, they will. If people disagree, they will. In the latter, you can both explain your ideas and why you have them. Maybe one of you will learn something different or new. Or maybe you both will and there will be a lessening of the extremes. 

 

Since we are here out in the open having a discussion, and to allay any fears that you or others have that there is some kind of "harassment" going on as you say: Me putting thumbs down emojis does not constitute harassment. It one of the options the devs have given us to interact with each other and express our opinions. Albeit in a rather reductive and low-context format. I can understand that you feel that that constitutes personal attacks against you, but you are on the internet and you posting builds at such a volume is you accepting people coming to that forum and either agreeing or disagreeing with you. 

 

I have seen in earlier posts that you have said that you have received death threats or something along those lines, that fucking sucks man. Lets be real here, that is not ok. I also, therefore, understand that you might then react the way you do because of how you've been treated in the past. That is understandable. It doesn't necessarily excuse it, but it is understandable.

The set itself looks like it has a lot of "Recharge" in it and the low-tier set bonuses are rubbish; so it's not going to lend itself to proccing/frankenslotting.
That "Chance for Confuse" proc is only 2.5PPM and I assume it'll be Mag 2 base with a "chance for another +1 Mag" that increases in likelihood depending on the number of Cupid's Crush enhancements slotted up to a maximum of 20% (which is a self-defeating mechanic with all that local recharge lowering the initial proc activation chance!)
The set bonuses however look pretty decent; and that 6-piece recharge bonus will be excellent on mule attacks that aren't already purpled out...

I'm well aware of it's stats. I looked at on AH and bought couple sets via merits.

 

Overall it's not OMFG amazing, but for putting in AoE Ranged power it can help shore up some things. Especially Sentinels and Blasters If they are using Resist based sets and what not.  Bombardment has that at 2.25 & 5% recharge bonus.  So stat wise, it's better in those two areas. 

 

To be brutally honest, on average I could care less about "Procs" They are nice when it happens, but I don't build a build hoping for it. Most builds that have recipe Procs are there via requests, I like recipe set as a whole, or I find 6th piece to be pointless for that build and put a proc of some kind in there for shits & giggles.

Hey JJ, hope you're doing well. I can't find this build ANYWHERE by ANYONE. If you're feeling up to it, could you do a Spines/Shield Brute with Flight? Taunt would be good but is not a deal breaker if space is too tight.

How about a Captain Marvel clone -- by which I mean Shazam, not Carol Danvers -- built as a Storm Blast/Invulnerability Sentinel.  My only specific request is the only power taken from Storm Blast be Lightning Strike and the rest of the attacks be ancilarry pool powers like Flurry.

This toon will be played more as a Scrapper than a Sentinel.

Yeah, I'm a concept player.  I don't think in terms of "scrapper with powersets X and Y, but "How about a clone of the DC character airwave" and then figure out what powers I need to do that.

I been looking again, I have a farmer I want to  retire from farming, and play, It's a Rad / Fire / Mu.  All I ask if it can have fly in there, and Mu can be replaced with what ever fits well.  The hero is kinda like Capt Atom from DC.  Thanks again and be safe out there!
