Are the floating minerals stuck at a certain height above the ground or the head?

Can they be made to always sit at head level or do I need to bump the character's height to get them to head level?

Height above the head.  I tested by altering the height of my Ice/Stone brute with Minerals active.  Relative distance above the head remained the same even at maximum height.

Dragging this out of the dumpster to report that the Minerals graphics disappear when suppressclosefx is active.  The veiny, pulsating lines graphic for Rooted also goes away.  The other toggles' graphics remain visible on this character, using Minimal and/or Minimal Crystal.
