Dark/Rad fire farm helper

Farmer Johnson

Recommended Posts

So my wife has a defunct account and I hopped on thinking I would roll a Fire/Rad Brute to use as a follow farmer since the account isn't being used when I saw that she has a level 50 Dark/Rad Tank that isn't fully slotted, so I started playing in mids.  Keep in mind this would just be set to follow me Fire/Rad Brute while I farm and would only be using toggles plus Atom Smasher set to auto fire.  Threw some procs in Cloak of Fear to maybe squeak a bit more damage out of him.  Do you think this is a viable farm partner or should I just spend some time training up another Fire/Rad?

You can use it as a follower, but a Fire/Rad brute with Burn on auto will be a lot better for clear times.

A fire/rad brute doesn't have access to burn. That's a Rad/Fire Brute that gets burn.

Dark Armor tankers can be built beastly, but another brute will be safer, or if you want build a fire res/def capped fire/kin corruptor to have your brute follow your kin.

That said it all depends on what your farming, what map you're running. I have set ups for fire farming that I'll often run two brutes, a  Spines/Fire and a Rad/Fire in afk meteor maps with patrols while I run content on a third alt. If I'm actively farming for drops on a meteor map, I'll bring in 3 masterminds. If I'm Power leveling an alt, often times I'll bring a fire armor brute and a ice/fire blaster and have the brute follow the blaster with burn on auto while I rain devastation with the blaster.

Otherwise I have a couple characters I have to farm S&L as well. Variety is the spice of life after all.

That all said if your afk farming and not busy combining reds, a tanker farms at about the same place a brute does, but it's easier to get your res/def up on a tanker.
