Which between these two sets does more damage? I can also get the Rad/En capped on S/L.

Also should I build for procs, or should I get a purple set or two for them? And if doing either, should i even get E/N def? I can get it to 32.5%, but that is still 2 stuff in RT/GZ that aren't procs.

EDIT: Here is a Rad/EM I've made. I've got a floating slot in tactics I could move without much issue, any build changes you guys would make?

I like to keep rad therapy and ground zero loaded with procs, together it's a very serious nuke.

Both SS and EM are pretty good and you could build theoretical toons well with either combination. Advice, build a mids build for each, load them on test and give them a whirl see what you like better than build it on production servers.

Posted

Mids lets you import a build to the Test server as well. My lean would be EM for ST and SS for AoE even if it only has one AoE. Footstomp is "lets break some game rules" good and EM's AoE aren't really that great. On the flip side, EM's ST is good enough to where you will overkill lesser targets.

Top 10 Most Fun 50s.

1. Without Mercy: Claws/ea Scrapper. 2. Outsmart: Fort 3. Sneakers: Stj/ea Stalker. 4. Emma Strange: Ill/dark Controller. 5. Project Next: Ice/stone Brute. 6. Waterpark: Water/temp Blaster. 6. Mighty Matt: Rad/bio Brute. 7. Without Hesitation: Claws/sr Scrapper. 8. Within Reach: Axe/stone Brute. 9. Without Pause: Claws/wp Brute.  10. Chasing Fireworks: Fire/time Controller.

I say test them also, you may not like the rage crash etc. EM is better single target and SS is better AoE as Without_pause states.

For Tankers though who get increased radius to attacks, i would opt for the one with the better AoE personally and stomp the groups and let the team focus on the boss. But that's just my preference.

Get the resists up first then you can proc out if you want more damage or you can build more set bonuses if you want more survival. Defence is just a bonus but i wouldn't build for it on a /Rad, unless you want to go full on Tank, as it will easily crumble and rad has quite a few survival tricks already.

Taking down mobs faster also increase your survival and if you are against something extremely tough then the chances are you are in a team and buffed to hell anyway.

So getting 1 purple from softcapped SLEN isn't worth it?

Also I thought Foot Stomp was the only aoe that didn't benefit from Tanker's AoE range increase? Target increase sure, but not the range increase of 20%. So the diffrence in radius between EM/FT was 10 to 15? (Mids doesn't show the range increase at all for either I think.)

You've achieved melee softcap here, which is enough in my eyes. Going too aggressive with other positions or types on a resist based set sacrifices too much damage potential. Honestly you've balanced it pretty well here as is!

Perf shifter proc is better mileage in Gamma boost, and you really don't need extra end support beyond just baseline slots in Stamina and gamma boost with perf shifter, as you have particle shielding and even Rad therapy helping you along. You don't really need the Theft proc either. Consider also that EM is one of the more end-friendly secondaries. You really won't run out of end with baseline slotting here.

You are correct on foot stomp! It is already plenty big enough as is though - no need for that tanker radius increase. : )

I really don't think either Rad or SS have the upper hand here - it's just a matter of your priorities. Both sets appreciate the extra aoe that Rad/ brings to the table. Foot Stomp, as great as it is, isn't an aoe rotation unto itself.

If you go SS, you could definitely drop tactics and instead rely on the tohit buff from Rage, freeing up a power choice.

So doing the tweaks you suggested, I'm now floating an entire slot and I have no idea where to put it or what to shuffle around. I can get more end, if needed,  Already tried SS, the crash feels bad. Stomp is nice, but its range isn't that much bigger than the EM AoE thanks to the tanker AoE increase stuff. (Although it is annoying getting used to a 10, 15, and 20 range aoe.

Heres an updated Rad/EM build, lost that E/N def for more procs. But not sure what to do with that final slot.

Footstomp can slot an FF proc. Rage buffs epic pool attacks. Rage gives +to hit also. Rage crash is a PitA.

You could put a Miracle proc in the gamma slot for extra recovery.
