Dark Dark Ultimate Resist

I am trying out this Halloween Spirit.  It is a very high resist Dark Dark build.  Which I believe also utilizes the synergization of Dark Dark through build tricks like recharge and accuracy.  This is based on the Dark Dark Brute I mained for a long time.

It tanked Lord Recluse in a master ms liberty no deaths.  Okay i was on the edge once. No team help and a blaster kept dying no badge.  But the damn thing stood up

What about this then?  It has better recovery when conserve power is down.  Better resists on energy but  little less on toxic and only .05% less on fire/cold (after cardiac).  Trading then for much better defenses(which have become more important arguably now.   You also gain better to hit, regen, damage, and about another 10% recharge and another 100 hp or so.  

 

Dropped from your powers are 

1. Fly you can grab from the p2w vendor to free up things as well.

2. Touch of fear(as it was only a mule for your io set and redundant with cloak)

3. Soul Transfer (situational and not really helpful when weighing better options.

4. Focused accuracy (because tactics was added and slots  added to full slot it with more useful things).

5. Oppressive gloom (again a mule power with changes above had the slots going to other powers made for better use).

6. Switched a few other io's or dropped 1 slots from some powers to get the above benefits.

 

Depending on your other obvs choices like barrier for incarnates the small changes to your resists would be none of course.

 

To me it seems overall a better set up but it depends on your intentions too.

In my opinion you do not understand Dark.  Just my opinion.  Dark does not have defense debuff resists. Any defense added is a glass shield.  The cloak and touch of fear are very useful in the Dark synergy.  In short being stealthed and to hit debuff + mezzing trash mobs are enough.  Being able to Tank Lord Recluse in a Master run is enough.  Dropping a bunch of synergistic powers to cram on defense will never be….enough

To put this all in perspective this is a near exact mirror image of a Dark/Dark Brute I ran non stop for over six months.  The Brute is a buzzsaw, and survived very very well

 

The high accuracy, to hit debuffs, mezzes and stealth are insanely effective
