Darkneblade Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 Currently there are 3 targeting commands for enemies. TAB: /target_enemy_next Cycles through enemies on screen. CTRL+TAB: /target_enemy_near Always targets the nearest enemy. SHIFT+TAB: /target_enemy_prev Cycles through enemies on screen in reverse order. It will be nice if there was new command as well Call it /target_enemy_cam Basically it will target whoever you are looking at the moment ex: my back is turned but my screen looking at some mobs and you can target it with this way. 1 1
srmalloy Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 Before they add that function, they're going to have to fix the 'quirk' that causes the automatic 'next target' choice so that it doesn't pick a target that is between the camera and your character, but not visible on screen because of the camera angle. Defeating a mob in front of you, then hitting an attack power twice expecting to attack the mob next to the one you defeated, but instead you spin around and attack a mob behind you that wasn't visible is seriously annoying. 1
Riverdusk Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 Sure, sounds nice. Thought for sure you were going to suggest the other one I hear all the time though, and that's a command to let us pick out bosses in a group. Would make stalker life so much easier.
biostem Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 Champions Online had the ability to display a little crosshair in the center of your view, then an option to target whichever enemy you pointed it at. I think the option you're proposing would require a much finer way of designating just who you are looking at, because you often have multiple enemies in your field of vision... 1

That would be cool as well. As long as I don't have to press tab hundred times or god forbid use my mouse..
