Six-Six Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 I doubt it's a bug. There are a number of powers that are Auto or have no endurance cost that will allow you to put end redux enhancements. In terms of TOs, DOs, SOs or singular attribute IOs, a normal person wouldn't even consider slotting an enhancement that would add no benefit to a power. I think it's there just to prevent some catastrophic failure when you do slot IO sets == which most have a /end component to them. My Toons
srmalloy Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 I don't think there was ever a problem with slotting an IO into a power where one aspect of the IO wasn't enhanceable in the power -- i.e., putting an Acc/Dam IO into a power that didn't take Acc enhancements. In fact, I recall that there was a bug where it turned out that you could slot IOs that, due to the "X equals minus Y" nature of some of the enhancements -- Damage and Resist Damage being the best-known example -- you could slot IOs or HOs that would enhance aspects of a power you were normally unable to enhance due to slotting restrictions.
Taveena Posted October 16, 2022 Author Posted October 16, 2022 (edited) Clarifying: the issue is that they except pure End Reduction Invention Origin enhancements, not sets with end reduction as a component. I know that powers like Rune of Protection can take recharge/resistance or recharge/endurance set enhancements that are in the Resistance Set category, but this is coded to accept a non-set enhancement that does nothing - something they have actively patched out in previous Issues, and thought it would be worth noting here.
