Cro Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 I sold 2 identicle enhancements. One sold for 10mil the other for 15mil. The fee for 10mil was at the 5% rate, 500k. The 15mil one has a fee of 1,050,000. Why???? calculation error?

Auction house takes a 10% cut. 5% of posting, and the rest based on sale price. if my math is right, the one sold for 15m was posted at 4.5m?
Cro Posted November 6, 2022 Author Posted November 6, 2022 Both Enhancements were listed for sale for 10 Mil.
agentx5 Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 1) Be specific. The price of what enhancement, exactly? 2) I'm not seeing anything wrong my end, collected my sold items and posted something just to see. Do you have a screenshot of this bug?
Cro Posted November 7, 2022 Author Posted November 7, 2022 I have not collected the influence of those 2 enhancements. I left them in the AH under sold, but I will go get the inf now. thanks
Cro Posted November 7, 2022 Author Posted November 7, 2022 I collected the inf for the Overwhelming Force: Accuracy/Damage enhancements. Both listed for 10 mil, one sold for 10 mil/500k fee, one for 15mil/1,050,000 fee. math doesn't jive.

Can you post a screenshot of exactly what you posted them for sale for and exactly the prices they sold for? At this point, we all have so much confidence the math always does jive that the alternative explanation, that you misread (or charitably, didn't provide exact numbers) the values is vastly more likely. Example: Item 1 is posted for 10,000,000. Poster pays 5% up front, or 500,000. It sells for 10,000,000. The poster pays the balance of the 10% final sales fee of 1,000,000, which is 500,000, when they collect the sale. Item 2 is also posted for 10,000,000, and 500,000 is also paid up front to list it. It sells for 15,500,000. The total fee due from the sale is 1,550,000, of which the poster already paid 500,000; and the balance of 1,050,000 is paid when collecting the sales. 1
Cro Posted November 7, 2022 Author Posted November 7, 2022 So if I want to sell something for x amount, and someone wants to by it for x+y their decision to pay more than I want costs me the fee. Granted the are actually paying it, to me. Thank you I now fully understand the fees at the AH. 😄 1
