Diantane Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 Have done Beasts/KIn and Beasts/thermal. Both of these work well because the heals are strong and defenses are great on thermal (of course emp and pain would work, but no added damage there). Just tried Beasts/radiation and although it worked well while solo, in a team was disastrous. The pets would all die instantly the moment they went to battle. A total wipe almost every time. Completely worthless. I've also tried Beasts/Cold, but without any heals, the pets die quickly. Time works a little, but after the first few powers it seems like you're not going anywhere.
Uun Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 Beasts only have damage resistance to S/L/C and rely on M/R/A defense for all other damage types. The best way to make them survivable is to add more defense. I run Beast/Traps, which has Force Field Generator but no heals other than Triage Beacon (which I only summon for long fights). /Cold should work if you're maintaining the shields on the pets (and the shields are slotted). Time should also work once you get Farsight. Are you slotting the Edict of the Master, Call to Arms and Command of the Mastermind defense auras? What about the Sovereign Right, Expedient Reinforcement and Mark of Supremacy resistance auras? Uuniverse
kelika2 Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 beast/cold really needs level 50 and access to hamis/atos/auras. i rerolled beast/ff to beast/cold because of overdefense
