No one loves teaming more than I. Nothing beats making a group of seven strangers into an invincible group of rampaging heroes. That isn't always possible. Leveling can get mighty slow at times, especially in your thirties when you are going solo.

So what hints, tips and tricks do you know that help you solo through the rough patches?

Here are a few of mine:

1. Do not neglect to pick up the prestige powers from the P2W Vendor at level 1. They will help you a lot longer than they will the DPS classes. The Nemesis staff, in particular, does damage plus knock back. That can save your butt when solo.

2. DFB and DiB are popular for a reason. They provide quick experience. If you already know how to play your archetypes, then joining them at the low levels can help push you to where your powers make a difference.

3. If it's a slow night, don't be afraid of joining a farm team. It's boring and you won't learn anything (except perhaps gossip) but it will help youmove through the leveling doldrums.

4. I learned this back in the day playing a cleric in Everquest. Find a group of villains that are especially vulnerable to your powers. I like playing Dark/Dark. Anything psychic pretty much has my name on it.

Hope these help!

What are some more?

Good points above.

I am not rich yet, so I find ways to save on costs.

1. Group until level 22. Until then sell everything, don't slot any enhancers. Sell them. When you hit level 22, craft basic level 25 IOs. If you need Inf, do an Oro flashback mission for ,8+ merits, buy converters and sell them to get a starting purse.

In fact, once you are slotted up at 22, go back and do all your old Oro missions to rack up merits and earn some badges.

Don't waste a Respec if you don't want to reroll. Instead create a new alternate build. You get one at 10th.

Actually, I would suggest buying most of your level 25 IOs from the auction house, just don't pay the "buy it now" price.  You can buy most for well under what it costs to buy the recipe and craft it, like 10-30k.  You just need to take a few days to get them at good prices.

Good to know. I do it all on my main for crafting badges
